Grimsby and their supporters were great! Just unlucky really. Never mind.

1am...should be in bed but busy bantering with City 'friends' on facebook. I go back to my earlier post...this is once again *our* Rovers, and future owners, managers and players should realise it. Óur Rovers' in not just a phrase, or a chant, or 'management jargon'. It's the way we can combine all our assets to achieve success...

Special mention to Angelo Balanta for his penalty. He has an air of calamity about him at times, an example being today when he fell over the ball as soon as he came on, and I didn't fancy him to score his penalty when he was walking up, but fair play, he tucked it away and therefore played a big part in us securing the promotion. If as I suspect, it's the last we see of him in a Rovers shirt, then it's a bloody good way to finish!

He didn't look interested anytime I saw him, and when he walked up to take the penalty I thought he was just gonna pass it to the keeper. Made a change to see him smiling at the end.

Who was it on here last week who suggested that Mildly should spend the week studying and practicing penalties?

Massive congratulations from a Stockport fan. Very jealous of you guys, but glad to see a proper club getting back where they belong instead of a bankrolled pub team.

I personally don't go on their Dam crap disgusting forum, they are a bunch of Dam picks. Yes they are higher up in the leagues than us but I bet their own personal lives are sh**!

Have to say, it was nice getting a coach back to a Football League stadium.

Who was it on here last week who suggested that Mildly should spend the week studying and practicing penalties? Given he didn't save one then that was a complete waste of time! Although I've heard flights at Heathrow are still grounded whilst they wait for Grimsby's 3rd penalty to land!

You can't only judge him on just whether he saved or not. Maybe Pittman missed because Mildy's positioning, body language, size put him off. Perhaps Mildy's hand to a previous penalty chipped his confidence. We'll never know whether Puddy would have done better or worse. If it is Mildy's last game for Rovers, what a way to end.

I wonder if it now counts as his 30 game, if so, whether he's triggered his contract extension?

Although I've heard flights at Heathrow are still grounded whilst they wait for Grimsby's 3rd penalty to land! Psychological! 'Is he a penalty saving expert? Why is he bringing him on?' - and Pittman hits it miles over the bar. Never thought Mildy was very good at pens, but it bloody worked today. I wonder if it now counts as his 30 game, if so, whether he's triggered his contract extension? Was in the programme at the Eastleigh (?) game that he'd done it already.
