I bet if he hadn't been there people would be whinging. He can't win. ...again...we can hope...I can remember most of his public comments (most were vague political answers leaving him enough wiggle-room to manoeuvre if he needed to)...if he'd tweeted #playfairsainsburys or #printthatyoubarstewards I'd consider forgiving him the mess he's made of the city as a whole.... ...BTW, just got back from 14 days in Australia...did I miss anything? Nothing much mate same old same old

What the hell was George Ferguson doing there anyway. he's just spent the last 3 years trying to block our move to the UWE, now he's picking out the bloody 50 50 . Much as I dislike the man, I don't think that's true. He couldn't have been more supportive Green Party helped bankroll trash and I'm certain he wouldn't of made radice his second in command if he didn't support what she was doing in regards to the trash campaign .

There are five deputy mayors: Finance (Geoff Gollop, Tory, Westbury on Trym) Place, including transport & regeneration (Mark Bradshaw, Labour, Bedminster) People, including education & social services (Brenda Massey, Labour, Southmead) Neighbourhoods, including health, sports & leisure (Daniella Radice, Green, Bishopston) Business change, resources & the arts (Simon Cook, Lib Dem, Clifton East) He's appointed people from every party as his deputies, I'm not sure it's been done on the basis of their stance on single issues

I wouldn't trust the man to muck out the hippo's at the zoo

I wouldn't trust the man to muck out the hippo's at the zoo Tbh, I'm not convinced that every decision he makes as Mayor should be done with regard to the impact on BRFC Here he is in September 2013 condemning TRASH tactics: www.bristolpost.co.uk/Blocking-tactics-Bristol-Rovers-new-stadium/story-19783216-detail/story.html

Now I'm no fan of the bloke but surely having him on board can only be a good thing. If he is patting backs with our BoD, we have a useful ally and a foot inside the council. Never mind our stadium will be in S Glos!

Fully agree but the position the green witch holds is going to be seen as a wind up, also remember that he opposed sainsburies down at ag, citing loss of trade to local businesses, funny how he also owns several businesses in the area, even stranger that he takes the opposite view on our side of town, about as trustworthy as a multiheaded snake, he's only latyching on to the club as he thinks it will get him more votes

Just introducing a few facts into the discussion
