Now the World Cup is coming to its last few weeks I am genuinely looking forward to getting back down the Mem on Saturdays so see the gas. Saturday's don't feel right without a pint in the blackthron bar with mates, a pasty, and a scrappy game of footy to watch. Now that the pain of being in the Conference has sank in I am raring to get going again!

Yep I am looking forward to it now. I accepted a while ago that we were non-league and now it is time to look forward and hopefully bounce straight back at the first attempt.
We may have dropped out the football league but it will still be the same famous blue and white quarters, the same cow sheds surrounding a ploughed field that we call our stadium, the same chants that can send a shiver down my spine and hopefully the same faces that I can catch up with on a Saturday afternoon.
Quite rightly there is lots of doom and gloom about the place at the moment but bring on the football again!

I find myself conflicted like never before. I am not looking forward to the fixtures nor any football in the conference at all & I feel kin awful that I just cannot go. I never believed we would get to this. It was bad enough & took me years to accept the dark side as the bigger club. I just can't get down with us being in the conference at all and it hurts like hell

Cant understand why fixtures will be appearing on main club website at 3pm! Hopefully, we should know the fixtures before 3pm, hopefully by at least mid morning! Takes that long for our Kirsty to spell check them Read last week that all the clubs will receive the fixtures earlier in the day but are not allowed to publicise them until 1500. Conference rules apparently, so the last thing we as a club want to do is to break the rules before we have even kicked a ball!

Not excited at all. Positively dreading it.
Got my ST and will be supporting the boys. I just hope we get off to a solid start and can be up there all season

Why not! It's time to look forward.
Looking back won't help us win anything. Let's learn from our mistakes and set about being confident enough to win football matches. A young management team that need our support.
I've got the bus ready and fired up ready to go!

Im with RAS in that my effort will increase a lot. The club is pretty close to civil war / the abyss which is why i will be doing my all to support my club and challenge those mistreating it.
I think i will go to lots of away games as prefer that experience and pick and choose my home games.

Convinced the whole thing was bad luck.

NOOOOOOOO can't have that - fair enough Turkey can come and visit us for Christmas but surely they must realize the game at Plainmoor should be in August, September April or May in order for them to get the maximum number of Gasheads down to Devon for a weekend of ploughing money into the town's coffers ??

I am a football fan and a Bristol Rovers fan,so yes I am looking forward to the new season. But looking at the fixtures tomorrow will really bring it home that we are no longer a football league club. Its strange I have accepted where we now are and yet in another way I still cannot believe it.

Im staying positive - just been on Cirencester's website to check where the ground is for next tuesday.
Whens the last time we won a few games in a row? Whens the last time a rovers striker scored a hat trick? Whens the last time we scored 6 in a game?
All these things may happen this season - probably not but thats the policy im taking.
I just hope we see some promising preseason performances, win our first few games and start to look on the bright side of life
