I really hope it's a dodgy limited company (subtly and quietly) fronted by a local politician...might finally be able to kick her/them/someone out...

They're launching a JR because the lights "are not in keeping with the area". I hope the judge once again laughs these clowns out of court.
Another nice bill for the council tax payer to pick up.

I live close to the cricket ground and have several friends whose houses back directly onto the ground and they have no problem with the lights, I wonder if we'll see the delightful Mr Carstairs resurfacing ...

Please let it be Radice, I would love the opportunity to get her voted out for The Greens/Labour/the Lib Dems/Captain Gas...

The Green Party have got their claws deep in Bishopston. It would take something special to beat them. They're very clever with what they do. Always having a presence at local events making it seem as having them around means those sort of things can happen. How many other parties turn up to bloody street jumble sales?

They are past Masters at claiming the credit for anything and everything that moves even if they haven't got a clue what it is all about.

And anyone willing to support them if they do? regardless of who's in power anyone can apply for a judicial review. a judicial review is meant to be used if people think the proper process' wasn't followed during planning permission instead its used to throw a spanner in the works when these professional antagonists don't get there way. it wateres me off but its always going to happen regardless of which useless priick is running the city.

Think this shows how difficult getting any plans to redevelop the Mem will be to get back off the ground.

Think this shows how difficult getting any plans to redevelop the Mem will be to get back off the ground. It will be at least another five years of hell. And all the local NIMBYs who were passionate about keeping a local sports amenity in the area for the good of the community will suddenly decide that this would be too much of an infringement on their quality of life and decide that almost any other use would be more desirable.

A few years ago there was an article in the Sunday Times about local planning etc and in the survey they did amongst all the councils regarding opposition to planning applications, many of them fallacious Bristol and its environs came out with more nimbys per head of population than anywhere else inthe British Isles
