Do you like the current name/abbreviation "FFS" and the new logo? Yes, though I can see why it may not sit right with some. Are you happy with the current format of fundraising i.e: we get products/services for our money and trust the club to use the "Increased revenue" how they see fit? I like the fact that we get something in return but would rather we knew where the funds go like kit sponsorship rather than let the club spunk it on Santa's Grotto. Do you like the new "Performance Sponsor" scheme? Yes, it's a good way of keeping revenue flowing and it means people can donate as much as they like. It's a much better idea than having levels of membership as for people less well off they can still get the same benefits as others for their initial fee. Can someone set up a Facebook page when we start Season 2014-15 to help spread the word?No sorry, I don't use it and don't plan to. Will you (if able) follow on twitter: FFS Club and retweet/reply to Tweets to raise awareness? Yes but I don't yet have a Twitter account. Ok, as this seems to be THE thread for consultation, ideas, discussion etc, here goes. sorry if some of this has also been on another thread, but it wasn't clear before, as there were (are) several threads about the FFSC, and they are still going/evolving. Not a criticism. Just making it clear I'm not posting some of this again as some sort of point/repetition. this thread has now been created, so it's clear now the place for views 1) I appreciate I'm probably swimming against the tide here but I've never liked the prominent use of 'FFS' (rather than FFSC) due to the other, more well know, use of FFS (i.e. for *'s sake) How do I explain that to a kid? or anyone really. the comment to 'be a parent' is missing the point. I am a parent. Why do I need to involve my children, or other children, or my Mum, or my friends, or anyone, in this phrase when it is TOTALLY avoidable. It's not necessary IMO and just gives fuel to the people who think all footy fans are foul mouthed, confrontational and thick. It's like French Connection deliberately playing on the F##k abbreviation and its blatently obvious anagram, when it already has a suitable and harmless name. It;s just pandering to the lowest common denominator. Rise above I say. Show people you aren't dragged down to their level. No need to apologise for wanting to be a family club. In fact, does 'Fans Forum Sponsorship Club' even represent a fair title anymore? what forum? The only thick people are those who assume something written means something else, as for kids what needs explaining, tell em what it means on your mug no problem |

Small thing but I like it as "FFSC" incorporating the club element of it. The logo looks great.

Thanks for your kind offer to run a Facebook page for The FFS, We will need a dedicated page which should be updated with basically copy posts from the threads on here, just the main news kind of thing.
This would need to be done when we relaunch so probably Sunday 27th July.

If my kids ask me what FFS stands for, I tell them what it stands for.
If you want to tell your kids it means something rude then fair do's.
How is that missing the point? That was the point being made.
BRFC could stand for black Rasta f**kin lady garden. But it doesn't.

FFS is fine by me.
The logo is good.
Happy to raise finds in the same way but unsure on how it's spent? I think I'd like us to put towards underprivileged groups attending(that could be rovers fans in general) or youth groups.

That's rude. FFS is fine by me. The logo is good. Happy to raise finds in the same way but unsure on how it's spent? I think I'd like us to put towards underprivileged groups attending(that could be rovers fans in general) or youth groups. Yeah, thats a great idea. Involving the kids is something I am keen to support too. They are the future of Rovers. Maybe a concerted push will be needed to make this happen. |

It shouldn't be to much trouble to set up and will be a case of directing current forum members to the page and of course attracting new members who are on FB but not on the forum. Will stay away from other Rovers related discussions on the page and in my view should be more of a place for distributing FFS news to a wider audience and to answer any questions etc. Also open to suggestions as after all the FFS is a democracy unlike BRFC and Kim Jong Higgs... |

JTS i hope that wasn't aimed at me, or anyone else who tried to give you genuine feedback and ideas from their heart. that's what you always ask for. 3 FFSC threads were started very close together, and another one was started after this thread. Forums are not a perfect world, and I genuinely thought you wanted feedback here, rather than just answers to quite a long list of questions that you have devised. In todays climate where only 30%-ish of the population vote in elections, and we are being bombared by companies, government and various groups asking for feedback, I don;t think you can be picky as to how and where you get feedback. It would also be interesting to know what you will do with this feedback. |

My point was, i asked people a few questions, and i was surprised that after a few posts those questions were ignored and the thread went off on a tangent. Sorry if you felt i was being "picky" asking specific questions, but i needed some questions answered to get the club we run back on track. And, in answer to your last comment, i read all the feedback, see if others agree or disagree, and then decide whether it needs looking at or maybe voting on so we run a good ship with the majority being happy with things. What tends to happen is we get very limited replies due to most being happy with how it is. UTG |

Ok, it seems people like the idea of a pinned/specific section so later today I will move these FFSC threads to the FFSC folder on our front page.
I will do another announced thread like the "is this what everyone wants?" one to let people know where to find stuff.
If it doesnt work or that section of Gas Chat doesn't get enough hits I'll put everything back.
