Thanks Put your questions to the the Board The first live Fans Forum will be held at the Memorial Stadium on Monday, July 21st (7pm). The event will be attended by the Chairman Nick Higgs, and other members of the Board of Directors, and will offer fans the chance to ask questions about the future of the club. The evening was originally going to be for Supporter’s Club members and Season Ticket holders only, but after listening to feedback from fans, it will now be open to all supporters. However, due to the limited capacity, fans will be asked to register their attendance by emailing admin@bristolrovers.co.uk – there will be 150 places available. Please submit your questions when registering, as they will not be taken on the night. Registration for the event will open on Monday July 7th. If you do not receive an email, you have successfully secured a place. Those who are not successful, will be contacted by email, and receive priority for the next event.

Wish we got a confirmation email if accepted, feel somewhat uneasy about turning up and trusting BRFC managed to complete the admin.... But hey ho This has got disaster written all over it. Obviously the standard (and obvious way to do such things) is to send a confirmation email to those forunate enough to be granted a palce - then people can print it out and bring it along as confirmation/proof they were accepted/invited. You just know there will be a significant amount of people turning up on the day thinking they're in as they didn't receive a "sorry, there's no room at the Inn" email, when actually it got accidentally automatically filed in their junk folder (probably quite apt) and they just didn't notice it. Furthermore, people could easily lie and say they didn't receive an email telling them to stay away. If they've done it to save time then they're morons anyway as there will be far more than 150 applying. Hence with 150 allowed to attend, at most you are going to need to send 150 confirmation emails. If 1,000 people apply you need to send 850 emails. Stupid.

Just stick an automated out of office reply once you have your 150?
Ps this is bollocks anyway because they get to choose the people based on their questions.

I'm surprised we didn't put our marketing skills to use and pull out the old black hat once more in the same fashion as our shirt sponsorship:
"For just £50, you could be in with the chance of winning a place at the next Board Q&A. Pay your £50 sign-up fee and the first 150 people out of the hat will be awarded a place at the next meeting!"
"And, first out of the hat...."
"... Mr N H from Italy! Well done to you!"
"Next out...."
"Mr T W Atola from Nr Borrdroom"
"Next..."
"Mr G Done-Ford from Bristol! Well done to you!"

Ha, I've just realised something.
If you take Mr Watola's first initial, and the first three letters of his surname, you get "TWAT".
Coincidence?

Hello Everyone,
for those of you who have been attending the Wellie meetings, you will know that we gathered together several questions from all of you(the final total numbered 14) They have now been sent to the club. I spoke to Nick Higgs, when rang me last week, and he welcomed a smaller number of questions than for the SC EGM (where I believe there were 44 questions asked), so that all who attend, like me, should have time to ask a follow-up question or make a comment will have the chance. The meeting, will hopefully, be more informative and effective if we can keep the number of questions down. If you would like to know what questions were sent I am more than happy to email them to you, SO please pm me. We put them into different categories to avoid repetition. When you read them hopefully you will agree with many of them. As a suggestion you can register for the meeting, and I sincerely hope you will, and leave it at that. But of course, if you want to send your own question in then that is your right.
Hope to see many of you again and to meet some new faces on July 21.
Mark

Mark, you are as bad as the club with who can attend or not. Why not just put the questions that you have collated on here?

gasincider maybe you are right. The reason I didn't is because some people are not interested /bored of it so I thought pm-ing would be the best way :-). There was no intention of secrets and sorry but I don't understand about "you cannot attend bit" - I have actually written "I hope as many of will attend ". What I asked was "let's keep the number of questions down because 40 odd will mean only about 2 minutes for each question to be asked and answered and I'm sure you'll agree that that will lead to a lack of depth in responses to each question. Hope that clears it up.
Questions below.
The running of the club.
1. Would the board like to comment on these last four seasons' statistics and explain why they feel there should be no change at boardroom level ?
2010 - 2011 season : L1 Wins 11 draws 12 defeats 23 2011 - 2012 season : L2 Wins 15 draws 12 defeats 19 2012 - 2013 season : L2 Wins 16 draws 12 defeats 18 2013 - 2014 season : L2 Wins 12 draws 14 defeats 20
OVERALL WIN PERCENTAGE for the last FOUR seasons of 29.35 %
2. Could The Board outline the roles and responsibilities of all the BRFC Directors for the forthcoming season and beyond ? Does each of them produce and end-of -season report / annual report ? If not, why ?
3.When will the club's internal review findings be published ? What aspects of the club (DETAILS PLEASE) did it focus on ? Why was the involvement of an external voice not considered ?
5. We would like as many board decisions to be communicated to the fans, can you agree to this ?
Footballing aspects at the club.
6. Will the club be implementing a footballing philosophy for 2014-15 season, like for example at Exeter City and Swansea City, which will run right throughout the club from The Academy through the U18s and into the first team ? If there is, who is implementing it? If not what is the emphasis of the current philosophy ?
7. Who does the medicals at the club ? (In the light of unfit/injured players starting at the club or getting long-term injuries within their first season at the club).
8. Will there be any changes, in comparison to previous seasons, in the way players are recruited at the club ?
The Manager's Role and their recruitment.
9. Could the club please explain their justifications in retaining Daryl Clarke and Marcus Stewart as the management duo for 2014-15, in the light of last season's results and in particular the last 8 games ?
10. Will there be any change, in comparison to previous seasons, in the way players are recruited at the club ?
11. In the light of so many managers being employed at the club in recent years, could the board explain what they intend to do differently in their recruitment procedures which will ensure the “right” mangers have been recruited ?
Communication with the supporters.
12.How is the club going to attempt to improve communication between itself and its supporters in the light of the suspension of The Official Forum ?
The New Stadium.
13.What is the exact position about the UWE stadium ? When will the building of the stadium start ?
Building/maintaining the fan base.
14.What our the plans for securing fans of the future ?
Merchandise and commercial aspects at the club.
15. What are the club's plans to improve the quality of merchandise for sale in the shops so that it reflects the club's nicknames (The Pirates and The Gas ) better? Does the board feel that it successfully markets the off field potential of the club, particularly with regard to merchandise, considering the commercial experience of Barry Bradshaw and Brian Seymour Smith?'
