I am certain that many gas heads are as disappointed as I am with this bland and uninspiring kit presented to us by Barry "Boycie Bradshaw". When it comes to kit design, Barry appears to take lessons from a six year old instead of researching the tradition of kit design reaching back to 1883. (Google historical kit design)The dire kit Barry presents us with for the 20015/16 is unworthy of our iconic football club and its equally iconic tradition of kit design, one simple solution would be to ditch those awful white socks, and replace them with blue? Any other sensible suggestions? Someone woke up feeling like Mr Grumpy-Drawers this morning then.

There are not a lot of options with the home shirt, you cannot muck about with it too much. As for the away kit,as a member of the (defunked)retail panel, some of us thought(including me)it should be a quartered shirt(so from a distance, anyone can see it is Bristol Rovers, most away shirts are not recognized unless close up. We knew the Black Arab colours are popular,so one of the members went off and came up with 5/6 designs. It was decided to only put 3 to the vote(our most popular came 2nd!),it was felt this gave fans a decent choice. We wanted 1883 on it somewhere (also we also asked for"The Gas" to go on home shirt) You cannot please everyone for sure, but I am pleased so many do like the away shirt. At least it feels like we achieved SOMETHING!!
