Whether they wanted to or not they may well have done that if they lose the Appeal and have saddled us with circa £7/8m debts inc the £3m+ Wonga loan which somehow will have to be repaid? Can you see any alternative but them having to sell the Mem if we lose or take out a punitive mortgage on the ground?

I have just returned from holiday so still catching up with this story.
When the UWE was approved I remember NH saying the next task would be training facilities, which I read to be something formal at Cribbs, maybe in conjunction to the plans that have been suggested there by Clifton RFC (?).
Were we to sell up and effectively rent the ground for matchdays then maybe most of the funds could be used to buy a training ground. Not ideal but we would still have an asset and pay off just the external debt. Although I am not sure how much this would cost.
If this story is true then under the right circumstances I would be supportive. Maybe we could retain a controlling share (20%) or agree a rolling 99 year lease at a set percentage that is not at the whim of the majority owners.

I noticed on the Northampton thread their new potential owners are also promising them a rebuilt ground along with new training facilities, perhaps there's a book they all read titled "How to hood wink football fans"? Given that NH/TW admitted in court there was a shortfall on the UWE building costs where was the £m's going to come from to buy & build training facilities, even if Sainsbury's ever paid up?

Yeah, but what if UWE were planning their own 15,000 seat stadium?
