I think the formation suited us tonight. We looked comfortable for large spells with Parkes, Lockyer and Clarke at the back. Leadbitter was superb and the Birmingham left back will be sore tomorrow. Brown was getting forward more too, which is great to see. The midfield 3 worked tirelessly. Sinclair was back to his best, chasing and harassing and Ollie did well. There is definitely a player in there with Gosling. He has decent technique and works hard but looked as if he wasn't used to centre mid, which is probably the case. I think he could do a job there in the league if needed though. Easter was good too, I thought. He holds the ball up well allowing others to play off him. It will be interesting to see what DC does at Yeovil. 532 looks a good bet.

The big difference for me was Sinclair and Lockyer playing where they should be played! Even when we switched to 442 last night we still looked just as good, Sinclair bossed the middle and I thought Lockyer and J. Clarke looked better than Parkes! Leadbiiter was a real stand out for large parts of the game, Harrison and Easter looked good together but I thought Taylor came on and really made a difference, I almost didn't want it to be true hahaha but he really gave us something extra when he came on fair play to him, every player did well in the game but those were the ones worth mentioning for me.
The only bad point for me is mildy, he look very heavy and slow, not the same player at all
Feel very confident about the Vile game Saturday now tho. UTG

Tandy replying to mad00:32, Wednesday 12 August 2015 Got back about half an hour ago. Novak is w**k, Thomas isn't any better, Davis couldn't hit his own mouth with his dinner, and Robinson can't mark.
Good to see our second XI go away and win, but christ if Rovers could hit the target we'd have lost that by 4 or 5. Really concerning if many of the first string get injured. We desperately need at least 1 striker, a central midfielder, and two centre halves. All glory to the Hypnotoad.

We werent very good, they had a lot more chances second half but we took ours.
Marking aside I thought Robbo had a good game, Thomas needs to go, Novak did ok but hes not a right winger, was fortunate in that their left back was fatter than him, Shinnie looked 10x better after he scored so lets hope his confidence stays.

Thought it quite amusing that the PA kept on reminding us all it was Jake's birthday at every opportunity and getting no reaction whatsoever. Was looking forward to getting a party bag.
