Great idea and well done to all involved but it does beg the question.. Why are the club not funding this? Am I missing something obvious? What colours do our development team currently play in and why are they based in Henley? Sorry if I'm having a mare!
Yours in advance
Roscoe

Yours in advance Roscoe The development teams based here (Bristol) play in the quarters and the set up is funded by the Supporters Club through 50/50 etc This new development academy in Henley is an extra source to attract talented youngsters from the midlands area and they will play in the Junior Premier League which is of a very high standard For example the U16's first game this season is a cup game versus the Arsenal Development team! I'm sure you realise if you cast the net further you catch more fish and hopefully some big strong ones! Thanks for your question and please consider joining us (Just £10) the only way we can really 'make a difference' is to attract more members - UTG!

I do wonder why the club don't finance it at "just" 5k but hey I shouldn't be surprised. Good on you, and the FFS guys.

And the winner by unanimous decision is - YES we will donate towards the purchasing of kit for The Bristol Rovers Central Development Teams! We shall initially be sending £1000 to help with kitting out the youngsters with the possibility of sending more if possible/decided I spoke to Paul a moment ago and he said "That's brilliant thanks. I'll get a piece put in the programme to thank you all for your support. This helps us more than you might realise and is much appreciated" Thanks to all our members and to those of you who voted or asked questions i will try to update you on their progress and get some photos of the lads in their new kit you so kindly helped to buy - Keep spreading the word cause the more members we get the more work we can do! UTG!!!

this is cool, i think it's great that this brings awareness to a rovers operation that not many (including myself) knew existed, so a great idea.

The kits are on their way to the lads! Sadly the new kits won't be in Quarters due to Errea unable to supply quick enough in junior sizes and the cost to bespoke our kit woulds mean ridiculous expense that would better be spent on the other kits/facilities - nice kit though i'll post a photo when possible -UTG!
