Saido Berahino refusing to play for West Brom again after not being allowed a move to Tottenham - ridicilous! Another player with an overinflated ego. You signed a contract, tough luck fella. But more importantly can he spell ridiculous correctly?

Saido Berahino somehow thinks he's God's gift to the Premier League after one above-average season. Him and Raheem have simply made themselves look like pathetic petulant idiots.

Sky Sports News makes me laugh. They build deadline day up to something its not. Hardly anything ever happens, yet they act so hypo about it. They all speak fast, they keep going to different reporters quickly so it looks like a lot is happening, when in fact not a lot ever does. They spoke to a bloke at Bournemouth I think it was, deadline day its brilliant, you must love it? Bloke says no its just like any other day, reporter - yeah but its exciting, back to the studio... The main entertainment for me was watching the supporters in the background, and the fear on the reporters' faces re. what might happen next. It's died a death now that they've sanitised it.

What a thrilling deadline day.
Man Utd have spent 36 mil on a player no-one's heard of and Berahino's thrown a strop on twitter. Would like to see how sky are hamming this one up.
/thread.

It's sad when players can't understand a simple word with a simple meaning - contract. If you want to play sport at a professional level and would like someone to pay you to do so, you sign a contract. This entitles you to a massively over-inflated wage but is also a legally binding contract so STFU and GBTW...

If you'd said it about Saido however I would agree....

Well no they can't unless the contract says that they can. Or unless they can negotiate with the player to cancel the contract (normally because the player will sign a better one elsewhere)...

It annoys me when fans always have a go at players, the clubs themselves are just as bad.

Well no they can't unless the contract says that they can. Or unless they can negotiate with the player to cancel the contract (normally because the player will sign a better one elsewhere)... Clubs can terminate contracts, they can also transfer list you. It annoys me when fans always have a go at players, the clubs themselves are just as bad. If the player breaks the terms of the contract or both sides agree to then 'the club' (media speak for both sides) can terminate the contract. Want to see how fast a footballer on £50k/week can call his lawyer? Terminate his contract if he doesn't have a better deal lined up somewhere else.... But without wanting to get into the niceties of contract law, the players are by far the worst offenders here. Take Berahino and Sterling as two prime examples. Both signed contracts to play for a particular club for a certain length of time, for which they get rewarded by a certain amount of money. Now we've all signed contracts we later regret (Virgin mobile, British Gas, etc) but they're called contracts for a reason. If Berahino doesn't want to play for West Brom this season he shouldn't have signed a contract that says he was going to. Same with Sterling and Liverpool. The worst thing about Berahino is at some point (even if he can get his head right) his form will dip and this summers petulance will mean many West Brom fans won't support him through it.
