Firstly I want to start by saying that these are my own views - I have not canvased the opinion of the rest of the mod team; unfortunately I'm too busy at work and, as I go away on holiday for 2 weeks from tomorrow, I need to ensure that I get everything tied up prior to going (as such, I also won't be around much over the next 2 weeks). The last few weeks have been extremely odd on this forum. Which is odd given how well things are going on the pitch. But day after day now, thread after thread descends into an argument. 9 times out of 10, it involves GGMI either directly or indirectly. GGMI admits that he likes to wind people up. The reality is that if you wind people up, you will get sh*t back in return. However, recently there has been a lot of sh*t thrown in GGMIs direction without really having done anything wrong; this isn't on. However, GGMI, winding other posters up will no longer be tolerated. GGMI - You've admitted that you do it, but for the good of the forum, it has to stop here, today. Also please change your avatar as IMO, it's just asking for trouble. In return, going forward I will ensure that anyone giving you unwarranted sh*t is dealt with appropriately. However, if you fail to stop goading people and winding them up, I will have no choice but to ban you. I don't want that to happen as there are plenty of examples of you adding real value to this forum. Frankly I'm just f**king fed up of dealing with petty squabbles and childish behaviour on here. At times, I almost feel like joining the other posters who have deleted their account and f**ked off. However, I know how good this forum CAN be - so I don't want that to happen. Whilst I don't want to "over mod" the forum, I'd rather ban problematic members and be left with a core of decent posters and an enjoyable forum than either pull the plug on it completely or lose all our posters due to this place being such a sh*tfest. So as I'm getting so royally f**ked off with it all now, I will no longer be showing any leniency whatsoever. Any breaking of the forum rules will be an instant ban (minimum of 1 month) with anything really serious resulting in a permanent ban. It may sound harsh, but if you don't want to be banned: 1) Be civil to other posters It's that f**king simple. So from this moment forward, GGMI has a clean slate (as well as everyone else). Therefore, please treat each other accordingly; forget all previous issues you've had with any other forum members and start fresh. Finally, to remind users once more; if you don't want to see/read contributions from a specific member, PLEASE change your user settings so that the user in question is automatically ignored. Thank you. Is that better? ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png)

That was a brilliant piece of writing and i echo your sentiments entirely. This forum has become something of a joke. now its time to get back to normality and have decent conversations and topics!

Firstly well soddin done RD! Secondly thanks for having the soddin balls to say something that should have been said a bleedin year ago! You have addressed the issue and let that serve as a lesson and warning to all mod's - Act promptly to avoid needless soddin aggrevation later! Keep up the new style of soddin authority and i'm sure the place will be better for every bloody one on it! Arise 'Sir Roverdrive'

As the root of most of the forum's problems/arguments, I took the action to ban him. Let that be a lesson to all; I mean business.

Very strange how Hugo commented on this thread and then left. Would be a great shame if that is permanently as he is often the voice of reason.
Thanks for your post Roverdrive. Not that anyone would care but I've lost a lot of interest in reading the forum lately as it seems that no thread can avoid petty arguments. Like you say it seems odd as things are going better than they have on the pitch for some years. I hope that this will stop the flow of posters deleting their accounts too.

Rover drive, good post, just recently I have felt like not bothering in here as there has been some real sh*te spouted by one or two on here.
Let's get back to proper banter and supporting the team
