Was at the game,in the west enclosure.
Chapman 7 Hardly anything to do,no chance with the goal.
Brown 7 Got forward well and put in loads of crosses. Parkes 7 Solid performance. Lockyer 8 Hardly put a foot wrong. J. Clarke 8.5 Had a very good game. What a signing he is turning out to be. Sinclair 9 Covered every blade of grass.
O. Clarke 6 Unlucky to see red. Mansell 7 Industrious in midfield. Lines 9 MOM. Totally ran the show
Easter 7 Had a good game unlucky not to score. Taylor 7 Caused Oxford problems and was fouled countless times but ref was useless.
Subs: Harrison 7 Could not force his way through. Montano 4 Disappointing. Bodin 6 Blatantly chopped down right in front of the ref near the end but another shocking decision.
Crowd 7 Ref 1 What a Waste of space. Oxford 7 Good in possession but no end product.
I thought we played some good football today and at least deserved a draw.Great goal from Oxford but the referee's performance today over shadow everything else,he was one of the worst i have seen at the mem.

All opinions welcome. If you watched the game on TV then feel free to add your ratings and contribute to debate, just mention it in your post. Its sometimes interesting to see how watching it on TV can give people different views on players and refereeing decisions. Chapman 6 little to do Brown 6 Parkes 4 off the pace today and some fumbling Lockyer 5 dropped in form since last weekend, shame J. Clarke 6 sound but not penetrative enough when in the final third Sinclair 7 got MOTM I thought CL shaded it O. Clarke diabolical red card but not seen TV - too little to rate so 5 Mansell 5 Lines 7 playmaker role good today but final touch near box brings it down to a 7 Easter 6 Taylor 6 but falls over TOO much Subs: Harrison 4 Montano 4 Bodin 5 Crowd 6 bit subdued I thought, only a few versions of GI Ref (remember scores of 0-10, no matter how tempting it is to put a negative score) OK 3 Oxford 6 but 8 for a professional away performance, so 8 for your stats we really should have salvaged something and blaming the ref won't cut it over length of the season 200 minutes + now without a goal, we need a more cunning approach in the final third and on the deck or midriff high. And why are no set piece plays coming in to the near post ... For me a 6 performance from the Gas

Was at the game in the centenary/East/uplands/dribuild/what's it called this week stand.
Chapman 7 one decent save from a header, confident claiming when necessary, no chance with the Worldy
Sinclair 8 full of running and there are no such things as lost causes with him around...made something out of a couple of them. Useful that he can switch from RWB to midfield and be equally effective in both roles - a good eye catching display but there were two better rovers out there than him. Brown 8 never looked in trouble defensively and always looked to cause trouble offensively Clarke J 7 did the defensive day job well although it was from his side that Roofe hit the Worldy! Struggled with being thrust into the role of creating something down the right Lockyer 9 consummate defending performance from Mr Cool his passing from centre back is light years better than when he's at RB or CM Parkes 8 characterful performance from big Tom stepped in, mopped up, launched attacks etc, takes no prisoners with his passing, but it looks like his colleagues are getting used to him firing bullets straight at them!!
Clarke O 6 not sure he was on long enough to mark!! Whether he was unlucky or not the evidence was that he gave the ref the opportunity to make the decision with a jump at the man with his arm up. Up to that point the midfield three had been neat and decisive and were running the game. Lines 9.5 MOTM well I don't care if he did raise his game cos the cameras were there as some have suggested this was a towering performance. Pinging passes left right and centre, short middle and long distance and unfailingly finding his man, harrying back, making darting runs and forcing the keeper to make a save at the free kick. Top notch. Mansell 7.5 hard working display from the skip. Understandably rusty, didn't need to have the legs run off him in his first game back by being down to ten men so soon.
Easter 6.5 worked his socks off, guilty, with Taylor of taking one touch too many or making one pass too many. Ridiculous dive in the second half. Taylor 6 no doubting the work rate but end product lacking. Once again spent too much time picking himself off the floor often when hardly touched.
Harrison 5 did not really get into the game Montano 3 he may well be fast, but his football brain is slow, by the time he's weighed up his options and decided which one is best that option is no longer available. Not convinced Bodin - certainly not on long enough to mark. Having seen the possible pen incident again it was one but after Taylor and Easter had flung themselves to the floor so often I'm sure the ref had us pegged as a team of divers and on the evidence of today I'm sad to say it's true.
Oxford ...best player Roofe, I'd just made a quip to South Wales Gas that if the ref wants to send another of theirs off I'd rather it was number 4 as he's looking useful ....when he knocked in the winner. Tidy footballing team but lots of lying down, kicking the ball away, backchat and fouling. Top Half team I reckon.
Ref 2 whether or not the sendings off were justified, there were several mystifying decisions, lots of missed decisions and several just plain wrong decisions. Crowd 7 ref baiting is not a good sport.

Chapman 6 Very quiet afternoon for him, could do nothing about the stunning goal. Clarke 8 another great display from him. Great find. Parkes 5 Poor performance brought back memories of his dithering on the ball in our relegation season, when will he realise he is a great stopper but not a great footballer. And as for his finishing training with Marcus, have not seen any improvement there. Lockyer 7.5 Usual steady performance. Brown 7.5 Impressed with his overlapping and ball control although final ball/cross not so good. Clarke O. 6 Unlucky to be sent off, but there was contact and the ref only sees it once like the rest of us at the game. Sinclair 7.5 Usual 110% performance, but MOM, not in my book. Mansell 7.5 Good performance but as expected with his first start of the season ran out of puff, not surprising considering we were also playing with ten men for so long. Lines 8.5 My MOM, always wanting the ball and constantly changing the direction of attacks. Taylor 5 not convinced he is a league player, very naive and easily dealt with by their defenders. Falls over to easily and I have said it before spends more time on his ass than the great Francis Lee ever did! Easter 7 Plenty of skill and control on the ball shown, but forced to drop deep when we went down to ten men. Lack of speed shows why he dropped from the Championship to our level. Harrison 3. Did he actually do anything, easily handled by their defence. Montano 3 One awful skied shot and nothing much else. Bodin 6 Looks speedy and willing but not given enough time, just like the Barnet game. Definately won a stonewall penalty.
Ref 3, Linesman why bother having them 3. Oxford 6. Professional away performance, why are we so nice?

Chapman 6 Only 6 because he did not have a lot to do, no chance with goal, great to see a keeper who can throw the ball out.
Brown 6 Good performance albeit overdone some crosses when forward Parkes 7 Solid at the back, but missed some good scoring opportunities Lockyer 7 Another good performance J. Clarke 7 Great signing played well Sinclair 9 Watched the game at the Mem and when I got home even my wife said he was good, so MoM
O. Clarke 6 So harsh to see a red card Mansell 7 Good disciplined performance Lines 8 Showed what he can do, albeit some free kicks were rubbish
Easter 3 Cannot see why he was not substituted, especially after the sending off, he has no pace and does seem very lazy, should be fit by now, however the odd pass very infrequently is good Taylor 6 Same old story causes problems without getting much reward, should have stayed on instead of Easter.
Subs: Harrison 4 Did not contribute much Montano 2 Just cannot see what he brings to the team Bodin 6 At least he contributes to the team, blatant penalty.shout.
Crowd 6 Ref (remember scores of 0-10, no matter how tempting it is to put a negative score) 0.5 Got all major decisions hopelessly wrong. Gave a red card for one decision and a yellow for an identical challange later on on in the gamel After the red card he became bit of a homer perhaps except for a blatant penalty for us in closing stages of which he bottled. Useless not a good game at all for both teams Oxford 7 Overall I thought Rovers played quite well, however, this this game showed we have no physical presence up front. Nobody can win and hold the ball and lay it off Watched at Mem then on TV later

Watched on the television.
Chapman 6.5 Not much to do today, no chance with the goal, distribution much better than most keepers we've had in the last five years.
Sinclair 8.5 Surprisingly quick, brilliant leap on him, unbelievable work rate and he's been better technically this season than I'd anticipated. He embodies everything we should be encouraging at this club. Parkes 4 Very disappointed with his performance today. Still Over-plays at the back too often and heading is dreadful at times. J Clarke 6.5 Did okay, not quite up to the performances earlier in the seasons Lockyer 7 Better than he is at right-back, light years ahead of what he was as a CM. Becoming one of the first names on the team sheet. Brown 7.5 Back to his best, assured performance defensively and offensively.
Mansell 6.5 Did okay. Welcomed his experience. O Clarke 5 Would always take a mark off for a red card, even though he probably didn't deserve it today. Lines 9 Different class. Best player on the pitch.
Easter 6.5 Linked up play okay and useful experience. Needs to be more involved. Taylor 4 Wasn't his number one fan last season and I'm certainly not now tbh. Not a league striker.
Montano 3 Pretty disappointing unfortunately. Hopeless shot over the stands. Bodin 6.5 Not really on long enough to mark, looked lively enough when he came on in fairness to him. Harrison 6.5 Meh. Did okay.
DC 7 Meh. Did okay. We played some good football at times and never gave up on the game. Starting to worry about our lack of goals. Crowd 6 Meh. Did okay. Ref 2.5 Did book a number of their players in fairness, but a catalogue of errors that have been described elsewhere. Oxford 7 Well organised but nothing special. Roofe easily their best player, and probably second best on the pitch behind Linesy.

Chapman 6 Little to do good distribution second half.
Brown 6 steady game got some good crosses in but needs to beat his man more regular. Parkes 4 marked him down purely on his inability to convert free headers into goals in a tight game. Lockyer 6 solid game all round J. Clarke 6 again steady my only criticism would be he switched off and reacted slower than Roofe for the goal, maybe a bit harsh. Sinclair 7 covered every blade of grass.
O. Clarke 4 unlucky with sending off Mansell 5 clearly lacking a bit of match fitness but good to have him back Lines 8 MOM best player in a gas shirt his passing and attacking play was excellent yesterday
Easter 5 works hard but no end result Taylor 4 muscled out for long periods
Subs: Harrison 4 not a good impact Montano 3 looked awful Bodin 6 great touches won a clear cut penalty that wasn't to be. Needs a start as he has impressed with limited chances.
Crowd 8 good atmosphere Ref 0 one of the worst in living memory. Oxford 6 we had them stretched for long periods but done a job on us.

Chapman 7 Nothing he could do about the goal but steady performance. Good distribution.
Brown 7 Strong performance, especially in second half. Could have done better with his header though. Parkes 6 Solid but still tends to try the tricksy stuff on occasions. Good chance to score yesterday. Lockyer 7 Good performance, getting better and better J. Clarke 6 Strong runs on occasions but seems unsure of what to do next. That will come (hopefully) Sinclair 8 Usual non-stop performance.
O. Clarke 5 Very unlucky to get the red card. Unable to judge any further. Mansell 6 Started off well but seemed to lose influence as the game went on Lines 8 Best match I have seen from him this season.
Easter 5 Good holding play and a shame he was asked to play deeper after the red card. Taylor 4 Few good moments but falls down too often.
Subs: Harrison 4 Didn't do a lot Montano 3 Did even less Bodin 6 Looked good for the short time he was on and robbed of a clear penalty
Crowd 8 Good atmosphere and some good banter Ref (remember scores of 0-10, no matter how tempting it is to put a negative score) 0 That is all. Oxford 6 Wondergoal but nothing else to worry about
Oh yes and a 2/10 for the Sky Sports cameraman who caught me eating a packet of crisps when I am supposed to be on a diet. The current Mrs Eastville 1966 was not happy.
Looking on the Oxford forum it is clear they feel they were gifted the 3 points. Most saying a draw would have been a fair result, Ollie's sending off was harsh, and Bodin's penalty was clear cut.

Thanks to everyone who gave their opinions on the match, the results are below.
Chris Lines was you Man of the Match with a score of 8.14, his best of the season so far.
Arguably this was one of the best Man of the Match performances of the season so far. With 8.14, Lines was 1.6 above the team average of 6.57. This was the most of anyone this season. The previous best was Aaron Chapman last week, who outperformed his average teammate by 1.5.
Chapman 6.2

I've edited the above to include Henbury's ratings. It doesn't change too many scores, Taylor is still lowest of the starting XI.
