See Liverpool were linked with him before and Northampton really rated him. Thing which slightly worries me is why the drop down? I perhaps think lack of games plus Wigan's relegation haven't helped Other than that, excellent stuff on paper if it happens. ....& Wigan have two vastly experienced keepers in Richard O'Donnell and Jussi Jaskalinen.

Logan still hasnt got a club. Not surprising considering the number of bloopers he made last season when on loan and shown in all there glory on the football league show. People on here moan about Mildenhall and forget most keepers make occasional mistakes. If Logan was any good now he would have been snapped up long ago.

So what's he been doing since May 2013 surely not just playing Academy football? As far as Liverpool's interest weren't they also interested in Hunter? Seems odd to me Chappers is not being retained unless Nicholls is considered better & /or cheaper. If the former he must be v. good. If it is a loan then perhaps it will open the doors to a few more loan deals?

Think you will find Wigan have had a massive turnover of players in the last 3/4 months. Nicholls was sub keeper most of last season & the have only just signed JJ so I guess Nicholls falls down the pecking order behind these 2 experienced guys. Seems a bit of a waste of money really but that's their choice.

Rochdale fans loved him and there were even claims he was one of the best keepers they've had for a very long time. He only left them due to the fact he picked up a serious injury and as highlighted by GGMI, is still out with it.

Loan keepers are a recipe for disaster UNLESS you actually stand a chance of signing them permanently. I thought we had finally got over this with DC. The big trouble is the length of time you can keep them means you will almost certainly have to keep getting loan ones in. I personally think that if we could have signed Chapman then we should have done. its strange that DC seems to let us know certain things which maybe he shouldn't and then completely keeps us in the dark over other things. Chairmans report has now become the latest dribble that we get from the club and I just don't think about the financial situation cos it don't fill me with any confidence whatsoever.

I'm not sure DC is going yo report every move he makes to us - this one isn't anything more than a rumour at the moment. Let's leave it to him, no reason at all to think it's a recipe for disaster, many clubs use the loan system to good effect both on the field & financially. As for Chapman - surely if we can do better......!

Quite staggering to think some on here want us to sign a goalkeeper who was on loan to us several years ago now without a club and recovering from a serious achilles injury. Rochdale fans must be more forgiving than some of ours , or perhaps they are more ready to accept that even the best keepers can make the odd howler. Add Bevan to the list of players we have signed with dubious injury records and we all know how that ended up, keeping him on the books on full pay until he was fully fit, likewise Virgo. No thanks from me, Nichols seems a far safer option to me.

For what it's worth, I think you have your keepers mixed up as I don't think Logan made a single blooper/howler whilst with Rochdale.
