Anyone watching it? Starts on Friday with England Vs Fiji. I cant see past New Zealand winning it, but England at home.... who knows! I didn't realise that after the Olympics & football world cup, the rugby world cup is the most watched sporting event.

I'll be watching it...don't watch much Rugby Union but it's hard not to follow England in a World Cup on home soil. Have they fixed the scrum issue yet? The one where we have 5 minutes of scrums collapsing in ways no-one completely understands until the referee gives up and arbitrarily awards a penalty to one side or the other?

I'll follow the results but doubt I'll watch too much.

Try watching Fiji tonight...I mean I hope they lose, but they get the ball in hand and run whenever they can so it's rarely boring...

If Fiji had not missed all those kicks it would of been much closer. I thought we were fortunate in the end to get the bonus point win and will have to improve our game for Wales and the Aussies...

Yes, agree with all of that but also think that was part of the mindset tonight. Both teams made a lot of mistakes. We (thankfully) could afford to and still get the bonus point. I think we'll see a different performance when it matters against the bigger teams...

In the RWC you don't want to peak to early, we should beat a depleted Wales & in turn go into the Aussie game knowing we've more than likely qualified, so the pressure will be off. Lose to Wales, then the pressure is well and truly on. What are South Africa up to? Their recent performance's are questionable to say the least. They lost at home in The Championship for the first time to Argentina, now they lose to Japan! If they lose to Scotland they will probably be out! But with the bonus-point available to the losing team they might get through, just as France did last time, they lost twice in the pool stage and still went through. I must say I'm very impressed with the attendances, every game full stadiums, nearly 90,000 for the New Zealand game. Should break the record for attendance surly?

So to summarise, we now need to peak far too soon...? I'm 50% Scottish and I'll be getting out my kilt fairly soon...

Two of the best games of the tournament so far today...one with plenty of try's, one with none...really hopeEngland go out and tonk Uruguay by a massive score tonight but I can't see them being up for it...

Went to the Millennium on Sunday for France vs Ireland and to be perfectly honest they put football fans to shame. Incredible atmosphere. 75000 there. Plenty of booze consumed both inside and outside the ground. No segregation but not even a hint of animosity between the two sets of fans. Great day out.

That was the same. Great atmosphere, no segregation........and it was Rome !

New Zealand looking ominous... 55-13 up with 10 mins left! Shame about both Scotland and Wales...but France and Ireland are both dead to me, both had the chance to become my second-favourite Rugby nation and they both blew it massively and pathetically. Now relying on Argentina to beat Australia to keep it interesting...

Argentina proved that their recent win in SA was no fluke. Scotland played out of their skins and let's hope that this signals the return of the Scottish team. I think we all like to see a hard-fought Six Nations and Scotland have been on a par with Italy for too long.
For England, Lancaster and the coaching team have to go. With hindsight, the selection policy was a joke, and the substitutions, usually based on on-field statistics, has been proven to be wrong. The English pack, historically the strong point, was pushed all over the park, therefore Rowntree has to go. Also Farrell as the Backs Coach....he's not up to it.
