So that just proves my point in that NH has suggested in the past he didn't know who the consortium were, not that they didn't exist?
Two months later I assume he's aware of who they now are, or the whole consortium talk was nonsense. Hopefully NH will clarify the position one way or the other next week.

With respect guys i'm calling an end to this particular bit of bickering: LJG we accept you think a poster has lied ok and GasinCider/Topper i think its time to move on accepting that he doesn't believe the Twitter business and no amount of arguing will change it. As most others are ok with it or couldn't give a monkeys please can we draw a line under it and move on otherwise sadly the moderating team will need to step in - thank you in advance both of you

Just in case LJG has lost track, he has said that:
I'm a liar because:
1) there were no tweets ref a consortium before 18th Sept. Yes there were, but did I have to use the 'C' word? No, I didn't need to. The other party knew what I was referring too, as we had had many a conversation, not to mention emails. I thought tweeting was an abbreviated form of written communication, so as I knew the other person knew what I was talking about, why did I need to use the word consortium?
2)I said I had seen a confidential document on Twitter. No I didn't. I've never said that. You're not lying are you? Prove it. Show me where I said it.
Just read an earlier reply from him, apparently the only acceptable form of communication is tweeting. Does anyone only use Twitter? He just can't accept he's not as clever as he thinks he is.
Anyway, I still await the answer to point two, then I will let him chill. You know, the one where he says I saw a confidential doc on Twitter. Come on LJG, still waiting.
Apologies for having to defend myself from several accusations of being a liar. It really is sad. But the best bit is I don't care.

The people releasing info on this topic are respected posters and people and are not the types to make things up for attention. Whether they are right or wrong time will tell but they are decent people and decent posters and we should all respect that at least imo. There is no intentional misleading of anyone.

LJG has not proven his case and Gasincider has not provided the full evidence to refute it. I could make a few comments about my views on LJG's opinions, but I won't, at the moment. Other than saying he has made it too personal instead of trying to prove his point about the lack of evidence. |

I as a supporters club member have received an e-mail about next Thursday, AGM followed by a Q&A with Nick Higgs and Darrell Clarke. Only 2015/16 card carrying members admitted. Alas I am unable to attend due to another commitment and no I won't lend my membership card to a non member  |

Surely the forum decides whether posters are respected if as you say these posters are well respected then posters will take that into account. This thread has now reached 508 pages without a scrap of evidence people are entitled to doubt the validity of the info and question it. The posters who released this have said that they cannot add to basically the original post as it would be a breach of trust or would compromise the deal or similar. In which case there is no need for them to say anything else on this thread until such time as they can add to the original post. I think mostly everyone one here has been patient and tolerant because these poster are well regarded, but I think the time has come for them to put up or do the other thing.

We have to respect the moderators, as without them we have no forum. I felt I had the right to refute a charge made against me, and did so. I have accepted from day one, that this sort of thing may arise, but I have thick skin and been insulted by experts up and down the country while supporting the gas.
I don't feel offended as I felt I had the right of reply which I have done, and I have honoured the request made to me at the outset not to name names. I haven't and won't.

Can you least answer the following: Is your boosted confidence regarding the deal based on: 1) A conversation 2) A document you've seen 3) Something else If the answer is option 1, based on a percentage, how likely is it the source of the new information would be correct (0-100%). Won't pin down which of the three, but I'd say it's 100% accurate. Timescales? Down to the parties concerned. Just to put blame where it belongs. It's all roverdrives fault. He brought up the subject of documents. How about making him clip Cockerells toenails as a penance? Anyway, that's my last word on the subject. Right now it's far more important to get the points tomorrow. Best wishes to the travelling gas and safe journey. |
