Wonder how NH felt when asked a question by GD? What did he ask? GD asked him if he had recently signed a confidentiality agreement, and he said yes.

Just accept the consortium rumour does now seem to have some milage!
Although I was expecting a full update today on what was discussed by NH & DC last night.

I'm surprised at the lack of postings regarding last night. I've seen the mob gradually building for the last few weeks. The tar was boiling, the pitchforks had been handed out and flaming torches lit the night. Serious questions were going to be asked. NH would suffer multiple Chinese burns in the attempt to drag information out of him. Oh yes, the baying mob could scent blood. What happened?

I thought there were a queue of people just waiting to fire questions at NH last night? Wasn't this the night where NH was going to be put on the spot? Is there a summary available anywhere as to what was said? Nobby - I asked my question:-
Nick, I was going to ask a question about the Consortium, but you have denied there is one and even if there is you will no doubt quote the confidentiality clause. My question is, although you are convinced that we will win the appeal against Sainsbury, what do you consider to be a win? Is it the full payment of £28m or a part payment to recover BRFC costs. If we do not win, how do you envisage clearing the substantial outstanding debt and is there a possibility that we could soon have a debt larger than the value of The Mem thereby trading as a company illegally?
I did not expect him to answer the first part of the question but fair play he did. He threw his arms up on hearing the word Consortium and went through his usual comments about not knowing who this Consortium is........ He said the club were in advanced talks with "an investor", these talks are progressing well and he hopes for a successful conclusion.
So he DID confirm that there are talks ongoing, whether you want to call them with a "Consortium" or "some investors" makes no difference to me, he has confirmed these for any doubters, so we can put that to rest.
With regard to the Appeal. He said it is all or nothing, there is no halfway house. So it's £28m or nothing. He and his legal team are confident they will win and he does not expect that there will be any last minute offers from Sainsbury. To be honest, why would Sainsbury want to negotiate.
He did add that, under the terms of the contract Sainsbury could eject us immediately from The Mem if they are forced to pay us the £28m. He did make a comment about what the club would do in the event of that happening, but even though it was said openly, I will not repeat it as in my opinion Sainsbury may jump on that comment if they are still monitoring comments on social media.
To clarify a matter about the Appeal, he confirmed that the case would be held in front of three judges and that BOTH BRFC and Sainsbury's legal council will be in attendance at the hearing and they will both set out their arguments on why they feel the original decision was correct or not.
I will send a summery of the meeting later. There were about 18 points raised with an even split between questions to NH and DC.

Thank you. That is the most informative post on either forum regarding last night.

Nobby - I will send a summery later, it may take some time to type it out, so hopefully by tonight.
As a taster, I asked what players contracts were up at the end of the season, apart from Easter and Sinclair.
He confirmed that the only players under contract beyond the end of this season were Easter and Sinclair. He also confirmed that NO PLAYER had an option to extend their contract and I must assume that includes Mildenhall not having an option to extend his contract based on playing a certain number of games. I seem to remember that option was invoked by Mildenhall at the end of last season.
He added that negotiations will begin to keep players that he wishes to retain, I would assume this will start some time in early 2016.

I thought Easter was only on an 18 month's contact up to this summer, he must be having a right chuckle to himself if we gave him a 2, or even 2.5, year contract?
I can't see even we would give a potential 4 year contract to Mildenhall!!
If the whole squad is potentially looking for new clubs in the summer you'd think they'd step up gear or two?

Also to add -
I arrived early for the meeting and when NH arrived, he came over to me and a few others and was more than happy to discuss any topic raised with him before the meeting. So, if I am considered to be an enemy of NH, he is still more than happy to speak to me and discuss anything with me.
The one point I will comment on now is that NH did confirm in the open meeting that he is in advanced talks with an investor, that these talks also include various other interested parties in the development and he is very hopeful that these can be concluded successfully within a short space of time.
Whether the investor NH confirm he was speaking too and the Consortium I and others have been on about for the last two months are one and the same,, I have no idea.
As Jon The Stripe mentioned, NH did confirm that there are about twelve confidentiality agreements in force with various prospective investors and when asked by GD if any were recent, he said yes.
As regards the rest of the meeting, there were about 18 topics raised, I’ll try to give a summary later today.
PS - apart from myself, John The Stripe and probably one other forum user, I was not aware that anyone else on this forum was there.

Correct me please if i'm wrong on this, but i've just been told that because the agreement between us,UWE & Sainsbury was a 3 way agreement. if the Sainsbury Element of the contract is now dead, will that mean our agreement with UWE has also lapsed ?

So we've gone from zero investors to dozens of them, all desperate to give us money.
No pushing at the back, please.
Form an orderly queue outside Mr Higgs' office.
Yes, you'll all get to see him.

I've my toes, fingers, arms & legs crossed that Beckham is in the mix somewhere. I just want to see Hugo jizz himself to death as I think that would be quite extraordinary. In fact, I've now put that event on my Bucket List.

Did it actually show on the courts records as the first we heard was when it was announced by the club? If so, do you have a link to the records? Pretty sure you posted the Appeal hearing itself would be heard not just the court hearing to decide the Appeal date? "Oct 24, 2015 3:27:59 GMT orgasmic said: Well the appeal is less than 4 weeks away, so maybe we'll know more then?" I have no idea! I didn't check...a friend told me about the hearing and I shared what he told me as I trust him. My wording isn't the clearest and should know better than to post on a forum without double checking everything. Much like my ex wife, people on here drag up old posts and pick them apart months later! I shared about the hearing. It has been proved to be accurate. The wording on my post was ambiguous. Stop boasting and pretending you have a friend,Your a gashead we don't have friends

I have no idea about your summation but NH was asked if there was any legal agreement with UWE about building the new stadium and he said there was no contract in force with UWE.
