You think you would know which deal would be inferior ? We have far to many people who hang around the club with this attitude, maybe people with a lot more knowledge can make that choice, rather than rag, tag and bobtail.

According to higgs we are unlikely to know result of appeal until march so plenty more waiting (and speculation!) to come.

Why would the press be all over it if the talks were off ? they have hardly noticed the talks are on ? Just a question. Simple.
I and several others would be all over this with details that cannot be published at the moment.
I feel pretty sure the Consortium may wish to make a comment if the talks were called off by BRFC or BRFC accepted a far inferior deal.
Surely a confidentiality clause would stop any chance of that happening?

Read in NH's section of the programme yesterday that although the appeal is this week - the judges could take until March to come to a decision.
Looks like we'll all be waiting another month or two before this can all conclude and the club can move forward.
I feel like a kid waiting for Christmas but my parents keep pushing the date back!

Surely a confidentiality clause would stop any chance of that happening? The confidentiality clause only covers any discussions between BRFC and any interested investor.
It doe not cover any investors aims and plans for the future.

Why don't they go public now then with their plans if NH is apparently refusing to enter into any "meaningful" discussions with them?

I heard something earlier. Nothing to do with a takeover mind.

What if NH has said he'll pull the plug if they do go public? Pull the plug on what if he won't apparently speak to them? Can you imagine what fans would say if they knew NH had turned down the chance of a £50m investment in the club??

Probably something like "I didn't want rovers to share the pitch with a rugby club unless we really had to" or "I didn't want rovers to not own the stadium out right unless we really had to". We may thank him if he's holding out for the right reasons

I'm sure the normal counter claim from NH would be that they are lying about the investment or don't have the clubs best interests at heart.

Think it would be different this time if it was a potential £50m+ investment and the people behind the consortium had an history of being good investors, as those ITK claim?

I think the issue here is that whilst I understand that what the consortium is proposing is far better than we could ever have sorted for ourselves, it will involve NH selling his shares in the club. That could be the problem. Remember I said could be.
Apparently, NH has implied that he can also build the new stadium win or lose in court. I can't see how he can possibly do that, because he said that either scenario would not involve paying rent to anyone. In other words he knows someone or some business that can take us over and do what the consortium are willing to do. What he hadn't said ( assuming this to be true) is if there would be funding available to massively develop a team worthy of the new stadium. The consortium, as I understand it, would do so.
It almost sounds like win, win. Trouble is, NH has form. The new stadium is great however we get it, but investment in the team will also be required. Watch this space.UTG
Keep the faith

Maybe the investor(s) don't have the club at heart as NH has already stated is a must?
