Why would I want us to lose? Still waiting on you GasheadGaz. Any day now? It wasnt a dig mate. I am genuinley interested. Some would say that if there is a consortium waiting to step in then a negative result could be the best result for rovers. A win may see us tied up in legal procedings for years.

I understand that at the original case there were e-mails that were deemed to be inadmissable evidence. Maybe we are trying to get that decision overturned?

But that's not "new" evidence which I thought had to be the case before we could attempt to include it in the Appeal?

Been wondering the same thing since this thread started and for the same reason.

Lulworth. Your comment at the end is what worries me. I totally believe the new people offer far more hope for our future than the present owner. But more importantly it could begin ASAP. Can't see that with NH even though he says it can.
As for the stadium, as long as it's the full spec I don't care how it comes about as long as it does.

Meanwhile, the consortium gives their view on the day's proceedings thus far:

I think this case will make or break us. I really don't believe in the consortium exists, more likely to be a couple of local business men who want to join the board, and are willing to put in the £10 million shortfall on the build, if we win the case. I also think that if we are allowed to bring in new evidence then we will, however Sainsburys who will know what this evidence is will argue about its' relevance.

the other thing. Can we not under the Data Protection act find out who bankrolled trash? Especially as they were a limited company?

If it was Sainsbury's do you think they are daft enough to pass money to them via a bank transfer? Any funds would be well & truly hidden. Surely we need a 'whistle-blower" to spill the beans to have any joy with that one.

As a council employee then can we not demand that Radish tells us where she got the money, after all it left the council with a debt and I think the council has a duty to being solvent. In other words has the raddish gang paid that debt? If not then why is she on the council? Unless the mayor is giving her one?

The arguments for this appeal have already been submitted to the Court with all the relevant evidence, in the Court papers.
Regarding any new evidence, whilst that may not be detailed in the documents already supplied as it could still be ruled "confidential business info". It's a bit like Sainsbury having a contract with a supplier for goods at a fixed price which they would not want published as this would alert Asda/Tesco etc to commercially sensitive information.
As regards the lack of reporting form Points West/Evening Post. In May, Points West were there at the beginning and stayed for the first hour of evidence, they did not stay there for the full day's hearing.
It will be interesting to get info from any Gashead in attendance if they went today.

To avoid any future awkward questions. It did make many of us question the rules on conflict of interest for councillors, but there is no legal obligation for them to say where their donations came from. When the company wound up, I am pretty sure that there were no debts owing - I'll try to find the evidence of this.

I'm sure we'd have no shortage of questions for them to ask!
