DC still has money left, thats obvious. I guess he is waiting to see how far we get withour major investment, so that once christmas is here we can get some extra in the transfer window? if he stretches his money to Jan he will have more to spend of a couple of "big" players? All guess work but, judging by how he ran his ship last year, it's probably not a million miles out. But isn't that the same for every Div 2 team, unless DC's kept more money back than the others?? TBH I can't imagine come Jan he's going to bring in many new recruits. I think he keeps more back. He seems to have a plan for every outcome. If the right player comes along he will get him, I have not doubts about that. I just get the feeling that he doesn't want to miss out so always has something in his pocket incase...... He may well only use 90% of his budget to achieve what he wants....

If you go by the BBC cost of football, an average L2 player is paid £1,500 a week.

just listened to Dc talking after the Notts County game, during the interview he clearly states, that they have double the budget we have. Never thought a L2 club would have double our budget

Which begs the question are NC overspending or are we underspending. Plus NC seem to be wasting a fortune on wages!

The year spent out of the league cost us, plus we are spending on the court case, so my guess is we might JUST scrape into the top 10 budget wise, but might not. We need a bit of success in this division & increased attendances before we will be pushing for a promotion sized budget. That said, it's not just down to budget... UTG
