Yesterday's results once again proved one thing and that's the fact that anyone on their day is capable of turning the form book on its head. We must target autos as most teams in current playoff/Promotion positions have bullied us when we have played them. I wouldn't fancy our chances against any of them bar maybe Plymouth

its all fun fans talk the manager and players will just be thinking about trying to get a win at newport, nothing else imo Yes. You can see why football people talk about one game at a time. We can all predict matches ahead but it is all about the next game. Win that, then it's all about the next game! UTG!

Exactly. Our 10 remaining games give us w better chance of promotion than an extra 3 games at the end of the season. Plymouth have won 3 from their last 11 and not won away since first week of Jan. Oxford despite being up there most of the season have not managed to pull away which casts doubt on their form. Our only really bad patch has been our tough run after xmas but those fixtures are done now, and the inability to win at home in the first couple of months. Our home form is amazing now and we are picking up points on the road. No one on the other teams forums are even really mentioning us and more concerned by Pompey. It's a big ask but we could be in 3rd place before other teams kick off on Saturday. We are in a great position.

So you don't think DC is thinking about what extra players he might need to try and secure an auto promotion spot?

Ah, but we have also lost the most games from the top 10. Is your glass half empty (games lost) or half full (games won)? For some reason I focus on the games lost more! Your better off winning one then losing one than drawing two.. Drawing games is only a little bit better than losing so I'm quite happy to see us hardly drawing any.

Why do people keep saying Northampton isn't winnable. Any game in ths league is winnable, there is more motivation for us to beat them too.

Carlisle will be our hardest game with them still trying to chase a play off spot. Northampton should already been promoted when we play them so even though it will be far from easy, they may have taken their foot off the gas a little by then.
If we have to settle for the play offs I wouldn't be at all confident against Portsmouth or our bogey team Accrington. We could be the form team but I think it would be much harder than our last two play off campaigns so we have to do everything we can to get into the top three. Its basically five teams chasing two places.
