On SSN now, DC saying Taylor could be the next Jamie Vardy, SSN showing both their stats.
Both 24 in their first season in the football league, Vardy scored 4 goals in his first season, Taylor already on 12.
Could he be..?

If he gets to 20 I doubt we will be able to afford him

The ways of silly transfer money. Accept a £45 million bid from a prem club. New stadium built. Win the £35 million from sainsburys too and we're one of the richest clubs in the land

No, because Vardy has one vital skill that eludes Taylor, and that skill is blistering pace ! It's Vardy's pace that makes him the player he is.

Andre Gray will be the next Jamie Vardy. Maybe Taylor will be the next Andre Gray?

I am so impressed with Taylor this season, he was brilliant last season, but actually seems to have improved almost every part of his game this.
Will reach 20 goals this term I am sure! And that is one hell of an achievement for his first season in league football.

I get the impression that Taylor is a confidence player and does better when he is reassured and told how good he is . I am sure that is why DC says these things and is quick to praise him when things dont go so well. It was noticeable that almost the first thing that he said when interviewed on the radio was that we should remember these moments when "Matty has a dry spell - and he will".
His all round distribution last night was excellant.
It would be nice if some of the people who continually knock him would acknowledge when he has a good game.

Wycombe couldn't handle him at all last night - not just his goals but his all-round play.
Him and Gaffney seem to be developing a nice understanding too.

Pretty much all strikers are like this and thrive on confidence though. DC just likes to keep fans level headed.

Gaffer should take a lot of credit for last night's goals, as at last we had a big quick striker upfront to create space for the likes of Taylor.

Yeah he chased down a lot of so called " lost causes" and kept possession from them and he seems to have the drive that Easter and Harrison lack.

Who was the last player who we had on loan and ended up signing them full time, can't think of any. After last nights performance, "Gaffer" would be high on my list for January window
