Classic today - unrelenting banter and chanting near the halfway line led by the bearded one and his mates. Pee'd my pants at Ardley p**s-taking. Also 50 years nespxt year and have never cycled to a match. So, cycling Gashead - check Stu Sinclair leads the chanting when he's not in the team then??

Makes I laugh when they moan about playing two games in 3 days, poor buggers, some people do hard work every day for a fraction of the money And there was some bloke on news who was doing 70 marathons on the trott If these players are fit you just play your best 11 as usual, maybe dc thought it was the best for today's game If it ain't broke don't break it,same team that beat the daggers for me

5th going into the new year and the teds in the relegation spots.
We should have won and maybe they will stage a recovery, but as it stands, it's looking better than we dared to dream about.
Mind the gap.

ref 5 changes,i just think 2 games in 3 days and a decent squad made it a sensible option whatever happens monday I'd have gone with the strongest starting 11 today then picked who was still up for Monday's game, seems to me we're now on the back foot being desperate for 3 pts against Orient, what's the betting they hardly make any changes? i dont think dc picked a weak team today,,we miss sinclair and i would always pick leadbitter though he has suffered a hamstring injury this season so maybe the manager is protecting him? i dont think were desperate for a win myself but i think our team finds it hard against any team that sits back and defends and the red card may have worked against us as were clearly happier v teams that come at us. are there any other newly promoted teams so high in there league as us? might be ?

Absolute crap. Almost the whole game against 10 men and we cant even score. Our manager doesnt seem to have a single idea of how to break down shitey teams.

Well you weren't so need Too much changing I don't agree with either. DC over thinks imo but what are forced changes for today because of the quick run of games I don't know. It would be good if people like you come on here after a decent win and gave a bit of praise as well of popping your heads above the parapet after a draw/ loss every time with the negative. Give it's try sometime, we can't win them all can we? Well said Sir. We have too many of this type of supporter. Clarke In. I think a bit of consistency in posting is called for.

We are 5th in the league at christmas, come on that's not bad, yeah ok, against 10 men we should beat them but how many teams galvanize themselves when down to 10, they are more often than not hard to break down. Should we not applaud the good point we have gained on the road, it could be important come the end of the season. Well done DC and the boys.UTG

If the players are tired (physically or mentally), their ability to think and perform - both on and off the ball - is impaired. Therefore they might struggle to control the ball, or play an accurate 50 yard pass. Skill has everything to do with fitness! Could the players physically play 180 mins in 48 hours? Of course they could, they're professional athletes who love their jobs as you say. But from DC's point of view their physical and mental fatigue could lead to them performing worse than other members of the squad who are fresh. Could they play 180 mins at their OPTIMAL level over 48 hours? Probably not.

I've said this before and I'll say it again many times I'm sure....if you can't play two 90 minute games of professional football in 72 hours or three 90 minute games of professional football in seven days, you're basically not a professional footballer. I'd go further and say if a 'professional footballer' at this level is 'tired' they really should consider a new career...

Lightweight and tired. It's too easy a job and is milked for all its worth. It used to be just the top flight pre madonnas who had excuses made for them now it's lower league, ten a penny park footballers as well. Its all down to mentality and pride and that is fading away with time. And is embarrassing to watch. footballers

Those players at Wimbledon didnt play to their optimum level and can't most weeks playing once in 7 days so that one is out of the window. It boils down to more than just fitness and I suggest the mentality and pride of footballers are more of a reason than that excuse. Footballers nowadays border on the embarrassing. No wonder women in this day and age are closing the gap in Men's sport! They have more of a desire imo.

Yeah, when I do even a half marathon I leave three days of no running before it, coz even with my crappy performance level I know it will help my time. It's not about doing two shifts in three days, it's about being in peak fitness and maximising energy and performance. I'd say you just can't put in 100% twice in three days, no matter how much some idiot fat fifty-something fitness expert with a pasty and a fag on shouts at you from the Blackthorn.

If you can't put in two lots of 90 minutes over 72 hours then you are not a fit footballer. Some players strolled through Saturdays game so should be no problem whatsoever. As regards Leadbitter starting I have to say that he was awful on Saturday. Team for me Saurday should have been as near the Dagenham team as possible barring injuries and today should be
Mildenhall
J Clarke Lockyer Parkes Brown
Montano Clarke Mansell
Bodin or Easter
Gaffney Taylor
Subs Preston McCrystal Harrison Easter/Bodin Leadbitter Gosling Lucas

Quick point, I thought our 11 looked fitter than Orient's today, and most of Orient's players played on Boxing Day too. We then stepped it up a level with the subs, first to every ball near the end.
The players CAN play 90 mins x 2 in 48 hours, but making them do that is not necessarily going to get you the most points.
