Clarke 7 solid performance Lockyer 7 passing still not his strong point, but a good defender Parkes 8 defended well and brought the ball out well Brown 7 usual performance from mr consistant O. Clarke 7 worked hard and won a lot of ball, another who's passing is weak Mansell 8 another hard working captains performance Sinclair 8 everywhere again, unlucky not to score Taylor 5 not at his best Gaffney 8.5 made the difference again Subs: Easter 6 looked lively, probably should have scored, but set up Ellis Harrison 5 missed a chance but not on long Crowd 7 Ref 5 weak, should have sent off their player who elbowed Taylor Luton 6 another team quite good until the final third

Mildenhall 7 Competent display, distribution much improved, threw the ball out quickly many times. Leadbitter 7 Usual display but a marked man now and chopped down on a regular basis Clarke J 7.5 good solid no nonsense display Lockyer 7.5 As above Parkes 7.5 As above apart from the odd relapse into thinking he is more skillful than he actually is, leading to the odd mistake. Brown 7 Steady Browner display. Clarke O 7 Good performance, nothing outstanding Mansell 7 Usual reliable offering Sinclair 7 More of the same from Stu. Taylor 6 Poor today, caught offside too often Gaffney 8.5 MOM again, alwaysfast thinking and runs into good positions. Two run of the mill goals today but they still count!
Harrison Not on long enough to mark but missed an easy chance Easter Looked lively and set up a sitter for Harrison. Again not on long ehough to mark.
Ref 7. Not helped by two very poor linesman Crowd 7 Luton 6 Have obviously got some very skilful players but look like a bunch of individuals playing with each other for the first time.

My own opinions from today's game:
Mildenhall 6.5 Largely untroubled
Leadbitter 7 More influential in the first half and received some rough treatment, but always an outlet. J. Clarke 7 Solid defensive game Lockyer 8 Really good defensive performance and got a good header on target for Gaffney's first. Parkes 7.5 Another good game to add to his recent run of solid performances. Brown 7 Good cross for Gaffney's second.
O. Clarke 8.5 Started the game strongly which I feel is key for his confidence. Was calm and clinical in his possession of the ball. Was denied a great team goal by the linesman. Mansell 8.5 A high energy game from him today. Led the team in closing down Luton and his hard work in tracking back led to the second goal. Sinclair 6.5 Not as dominant in the middle today, although he didn't need to be with Clarke and Mansell playing so well.
Taylor 6.5 Not quite there today, though a lovely flick round the corner for Clarke deserved a goal. Gaffney 8.5 Led the line well, quite effective when he drops deep to receive it short. Although both goals weren't from far out, they needed finishing and we haven't always done that.
Subs: Easter 5.5 Not on long, but thought he should have done better with a couple of half-chances. Harrison 6 Showed good energy and enthusiasm coming on.
Crowd 8.5 Ref 7 Okay for the most part and his bookings did temper Luton's aggression early on. Not helped by the linesman on some decisions. Luton 5.5 Didn't test Mildenhall much and mid-table seems about right for them.

Mildenhall - 7 Not a great deal to do but did everything perfectly including much better and quicker distribution. Handled well too. Much, much more confident and convincing than even last Monday where he looked ok. Earned his no.1 jersey
Leadbitter - 7 This kid is electric, rarely puts a foot wrong. J. Clarke - 7 Solid Lockyer - 8 Breathtaking how good this kid is and first goal was due to his header Parkes - 8 Best performance i've seen from him this season. Solid and played the ball nicely joining in attacks all over the place. He loves the freedom a 3-5-2 gives him. Brown - 7 Same old reliable Mr Brown. A real asset
O. Clarke - 8 Quality game Mansell - 7 Excellent Sinclair - 7 Everywhere and made good runs forward as did Manse
Taylor - 7 Thought he was lively and was a very underrated performance from him today. He frees up so much space, creates bucket loads and is a perfect partner for Gaffney Gaffney - 9 Don't think I need to write anything here.
Subs: Easter N/a Harrison N/a
Crowd - 8 Excellent again and in fine voice Ref - 3 Bottled the red for the elbow, his lino was terrible and lost control a bit at times. Luton - 1 They were absolutely awful

Mildenhall 6.5 Not a lot to do.But his handling and distribution is much improved.
Leadbitter 7 A Natural Athlete. J. Clarke 7 Solid defending. Lockyer 8 He would run through a brick wall for the cause. Parkes 7.5 Dependable. Brown 7.5 Mr Consistent.
O. Clarke 7 Had another good game. Mansell 7 5 Usual busy game. Sinclair 7.5 Tremendous work rate.
Taylor 6 Off the pace today by his standards. Gaffney 8 Archie, Archie, Archie.
Subs: Easter Not on long enough. Harrison Not on long enough.
Crowd 7 Ref 6 Luton 5 Punchless.

Mildenhall 7 clean sheet, quick distribution and no drama's.
Leadbitter 6 out of form for me but did ok. J. Clarke 7 read game well, learning all the time. Lockyer 8 superb game a natural defender. Had Mackail-Smith in his pocket. Parkes 8.5 Great on the ball and bring ball out.One of his best games. Brown 7 calmness on the ball a real asset to our defence.
O. Clarke 9 MOTM his best display in a Rovers shirt. Mansell 8 Lead by example again. Sinclair 8 took the battle to Luton worth 2 men.
Taylor 6 slightly off the boil. Gaffney 8 2 goals and a great presence leading the line.
Subs: Easter 5 Harrison 5
Crowd 8 up for it. Ref 5 Luton 6 Completely raped in midfield yesterday. Mid table team.

Mildenhall 7 nothing to fault in his performance Leadbitter 6.5 attacked well but final ball not good Clarke 6 Weeak link in defence Parkes 8.5 turning into mr reliable Lockyer 8 if only he could pass accurately. Brown 7.5 typical performance from hin Clarke O 9 outstanding midfielder on pitch why was his goal ruled out when Gaffney was not interefering Mansell 7 Worked hard but something is lacking Sinclair 7 another hard working performance Taylor 5 anonymous Gaffney 8.75 ran Ollie close but not quite mom Subs no time to make an impression
Ref 5 down to expected level of mediocrity for this division

Mildenhall 7 - solid display, if you had no background to our goalkeeping situation you would have simply seen a competent and experienced league two keeper.
Leadbitter 7 - defenders don't fancy him at all, dangerous going forward Clarke 6.5 - didn't really notice him. Kept a clean sheet(!). Lockyer 8 - just solid and the model of calm. Future captain. Parkes 6.5 - did fine. Still overplays at times. Brown 7 - typical performance. Mr 7 out of 10.
Mansell 8 - I'm a big fan of Lee. Controlled the middle without the need for flamboyancy and you can see his leadership and experience. Clarke 7.5 - good game from Ollie. There is something there but God knows how we try and help him replicate it on a regular basis. Sinclair 7 - ticked away, never stops. Unlucky not to score in the first half if I recall correctly.
Taylor 6.5 - not his finest hour but did okay. Our most quality on the ball at times. Gaffney 9 MOM - superb. Get him signed. Won me a fiver as first scorer as well!
Easter and Harrison not on long enough.
DC 10 - comfortable home win, clean sheet, and no subs needed. Genuinely can't ask for any more. Luton 4 - didn't think they had a lot. Remember CMS being unplayable here a few years back but very quiet yesterday. Ref 6 - not an awful lot to do. Clearly didn't have any intention of giving out any reds but that's not necessarily a hanging offence.
Overall a hugely enjoyable home performance and win. UTG

Mildenhall 7 solid and confident Leadbitter 6.5 took a knock that affected him but kept going J. Clarke 7 another solid game Lockyer 8 in his proper position and so reliable Parkes 8 solid Brown 7 always reliable O. Clarke 8 back to his early season form Mansell 8.5 MoM a superb captains game Sinclair 8 completes the best midfield we,ve had for a long time Taylor 7 took a lot of stick from the Luton defenders but showed lots of quality and composure Gaffney 8 a good striker always expects the keeper to fumble and Gaff was right there to poke in the rebound Subs: Easter not on long enough Harrison not on long enough Crowd 6.5 quiet in first half, much noisier when the goals went in Ref 6 I thought he was ok,hindered by an incompetent linesman Luton 5 very average they were outplayed in all departments

Mildenhall 7 Lead bitter 7 J Clarke 7 Lockyer 8 Parkes 8 - Thought he was really effective on the ball today. Really creative and to anyone who says he needs to stop it, I don't think so. Really hope he stays confident and keeps trying to bring it forward. Brown 8 - Run and assist for the second goal alone bumped him up to an 8. O Clarke 7.5 Mansell 7.5 Sinclair 8
Gaffney 8 Taylor 6.5 - Maybe a little harsh but didn't think he was quite at his best.
Easter Not long enough
Ref 3 - thought he was really sh**e. Luton 3 - Horrid team Crowd 7 DC 9

But the linesman didn't flag for a foul,by which if it is a foul he flags and points which way the foul should be given. His flag was pointing across the pitch thus indicating an offside decision

No surprises as Rory Gaffney was Motm with a score of 8.48.
Gaffney has been Motm twice and runner-up twice in the 7 games he's played in for Rovers.
His current season average of 7.47 is the highest any player has reached in the two years of these threads.
Mildenhall 6.7
Leadbitter 6.8 J. Clarke 6.9 Lockyer 7.9 Parkes 7.6 Brown 7.1
O. Clarke 7.8 Mansell 7.6 Sinclair 7.4
Taylor 6.2 Gaffney 8.5
Subs: Easter 5.7 Harrison 5.3
Crowd 7.3 Ref 5.3 Luton 4.6
