As predicted, it was another big crowd today and we were all asked to get there in good time. Unfortunately, the M5 was thick with returning New Year trippers and I was later than usual. My son and I arrived at the Blackthorn turnstiles just before a quarter to three. There were half a dozen in the queue and we were in smoothly. It looked as though all the turnstiles were manned and all went well.
I also managed to buy a pasty in 5 minutes or less. We do like a moan when things go wrong, but credit where it's due, unless others had a different experience?

The only problem with a big crowd is usually the pasties sell out so i dont get a second one cheap at the end of the match! =;-) UTG

Anybody else a bit surprised we lost around 1,000 home fans following our Boxing Day victory, the ground didn't look any less filled to me but if the gate was down 1,000 why didn't so many fans return? Lack of money? work? poor weather?

Weather probably put a lot off. Get a new stadium with quality amenities they will soon come back.

Lack of money? work? poor weather? boxing day is a weird one. I don't think we were down 1000, just up by 1000 brother-in-laws, uncles, and nephews....

Lack of money? work? poor weather? By the look of all the other crowds in leagues one and two yesterday they were all back to normal saturday levels, we had the third largest crowd in 1&2 after pompey and sheff utd, still not a bad effort.
