Nice touches, but didn't look a 90 minute player yet. Carrying a bit of midriff/upper thigh weight. Put Mansell, Lines and Lawrence into a blender and you'd get one helluva player! (You can keep the two leftovers though!  ) I'd just keep Mansell. |

Was quite disappointed with that yesterday, you could tell from about 20 mins in that we just weren't going to get anything from the game, not going to go overboard though with the criticism but we could've definitely done with Gaffers or a similar target man style player up top against their 2 big centre halves, they were swallowing everything up that was thrown at them and weren't ever going to be troubled in the air by what we had on the pitch.
They were such a predictable side yet for all the play we had we just couldn't find that bit of quality, to be honest a 0-0 draw probably would've been a fair result.
Still, it's only one game and we move on to the next one, there's still another 60 points to play for. UTG!

Everyone has a game in hand over us, Accrington have 4 !!! We're all getting a bit anxious I'm afraid. Yesterday was just one of those games, unfortunate but that's the way it goes. If Barnet were a cat it would be nervously looking over its shoulder every time it went out because it used up 8 of the available 9 lives yesterday. I think we're due a dodgy extra time winner in recompense! I think a top 7 finish would be brilliant, and far better than I hoped for at the start. I would imagine everyone would have settled for mid-table at that stage, so Let's not put unnecessary pressure on ourselves and the team; try and enjoy the great season were having. From DC's after match interview it would seem talks are ongoing with CUFC regarding Gaffney, he did everything but give his name. No doubt they are willing to sell, it's now down to how much of the filthy lucre were willing to pay. |
