www.bristolpost.co.uk/BRISTOL-CITY-Bolton-boss-Neil-Lennon-resigned/story-28495039-detail/story.htmlMANAGER Neil Lennon admits his cash-strapped Bolton Wanderers side are resigned to losing star striker Zach Clough. Bristol City have offered their fellow Championship strugglers £3million for the player and that bid has been accepted, although manager Steve Cotterill resigned to comment over the potential move. It is still not clear if Lennon's side will accept the offer, but he was left out of Bolton's 1-1 draw with non-league Eastleigh on Saturday. Financial pressures at the Lancashire club are such that the cash raised could be the difference between paying the £2million-plus tax bill due on January 18 or hitting the wall completely. Gotta love the Bristol Post!

Brilliant piece of journalism. Clearly a cut and paste job.

A lot of money for someone who has only played 20 league games in his career so far?

A lot of money for someone who has only played 20 league games in his career so far? And for a cash strapped club like Bolton, he must be bloody good you would hope from their point of view? Or is it desperation?

"Steve Cotterill resigned to comment"?
Do they mean "declined", or have our worst fears been realised?

Bid's been accepted but it's still unsure if Bolton will accept the bid?

I did but you never know these days if there might just be a little Rovers related bit in there somewhere. Just like the new beginning thread, I have to read it incase I miss something but most of it is a load of crap.

a lot of money for a team in div 1 next year But I wouldn't imagine they will be paying a 20 year old ridiculously high wages, hence why he is probably an attractive proposition to them. I have a feeling it could be wages which have held them back signing better players as opposed to the initial outlay on transfer fees.

What's not to like? Spending time and money trying to buy a player whose first demand should be a buyout clause in case of relegation, manager is on borrowed time if no improvement occurs soon, not prioritising a defender so they will not prevent late goals.
Strikes me as a move to placate the fans. Feel sorry (a bit) for the player, case of out of the frying pan and into the fire.
Having a City thread may be interesting but maybe in the general sport chat section otherwise they may get the wrong impression and end up thinking we are as obsessed by them as they are of us.
