Is anyone worried that DC is a target for the s,,t new manager. He is got to be one of the best young up and coming managers in the country. I'm sure he wouldn't go there but I wouldn't be surprised at other championship club having a look at him.

No. They have a song about him/His mum, that's quite rude. They are looking for uber high profile anyway like moyes or guardiola.

Nope, they will get somebody with championship experience. Not DC or the Oxford bloke for that matter

I reckon DC will stay with us until he has got us up into the top half of division one as in his own words "then I feel I would have achieved something" then he will go to Madrid!! # UTG

It's almost like picturing my missus with another bloke! (Especially for Madrid against us in the Cl!)

Zero chance of DC over there.
Not just the obvious reasons, but a game changer was sneekily announced after their win yesterday.
absolutely bizarre that they would appoint a CEO (they call it COO) not only so quickly after sacking a manager but also as they are trying to recruit a 'big name'. No big name, or anyone who wants to be a proper manager, will want the job now. Not only Ashton, but also Keith Burt, and the Board to deal with.
They will get someone who needs the money & doesn't mind his rep sliding if he can't save them. Nothing more than that.

It won't be Redknapp. He will need to spend a fortune and Lansdown won't do it despite his millions. And no big players want to go to Trashton anyway...
The new CEO is ex Oxford. Wouldn't be surprised if Appleton ends up there.
If they go down they have a manager who could take them straight back up where someone like Redknapp would just want to try and save them and then find the next QPR.
Pearson maybe, but I would be surprised. I heard he may be going to Villa. A customer of mine is youth team coach there.

My hope that when that happens, because he will do it, all the Shitsburys nonsense will have been sorted out, the UWE will be well on the way to completion, crowds will be increasing and there will be owners with money available. I would hope the club would pull out all the stops to persuade DC to commit to us long term with the aim of establishing us in the Championship. Them Barcelona can have him!
