how can they lose another £10m with such a successful season, AND having this new policy of paying lower wages and getting 'hungey' young players.
like someone else wrote, I obviously know nothing about FFP. How this doesn't fall foul of it is a mockery of a travesty of a mockery of a sham.
I honestly despise them.

I queried this some time ago, after Cotterill blithely said that The Emperor would always "put his hand in his pocket" no matter what. A wiser Gashead replied that it doesn't count if the money is just written off as a gift - only if it's a loan. Apparently he can spend his whole billion and outspend Manchester City if he wants and no rules need detain him. (Personally, I think that's fair enough, otherwise how can any minor club even dream of the highest success? I hope he doesn't do it though.) |

Income £7m, outgoings £17m with SL making up the difference. As he's putting his money in as shares they probably won't fall foul of FFP.
They really need to retain championship status this season or the benefits of the redeveloped stadium will be lost.
I haven't looked at the accounts but according to someone on OTIB, Bristol Rugby are paying £400k to play at AG. I suspect the "group" position is a bit rosier because if Mens Football division are doing the same, Bristol Sport might show a small profit to offset against the £10m loss?
Anyway, it highlights the financial challenges of achieving and sustaining championship football never mind reaching the prem.
The whole Bristol Sport thing looks and sounds highly professional but the fact remains that it is underpinned by one individual's substantial wealth. I guess the sheds are willing to accept the loss of the soul of their club in return for success.
LMAO though if they were to end up playing lil ol us in L1 next season.
