Ok, so who has got a 4k tele? What content do you watch, or are you just waiting for more content to be made available?
Also, what make did you opt for?

Aye, I've currently got a Samsung and that is my preferred choice. However, I will only buy a flat screen. I don't want a curved screen as it has to be mounted on the wall, and if I want a Samsung, with all the latest bells & whistles (HDR etc), they only provide those with a curved screen.

Mate has a 55" curved Samsung on the wall. Perfect. Great quality, caught a bit of Jurassic Park the other day, wow.

I'm looking for a 65". My main gripe with the curved is the light reflection you get on them, plus, it doesn't really look that good when wall-mounted.

Don't the screens have an anti-glare finish to them to stop that? I'm no expert, and my mates screen is mounted in the room where the sun never hits it so not 100%. 65"? My God, you'll be able to see the shaving rash!

No, not all screens have an anti-glare finish. I've got quite a large 'tele viewing area', and sitting on the sofa means that I'm about 3.5 to 4 metres away from the screen. I've got a 46" screen now but I'm forever leaning forward to read text on the screen (ie Soccer Saturday). As I'm an old knacker, and I refuse to believe/admit my eyesight is failing, the only option is to get a bigger tele.

Actually, what happened was I suggested we need a new tele, and that we should look at the 55" ones. She, putting her interior designer head on (plus the fact that I am always wrong), then proclaimed that the 55" was too small and wouldn't 'look right' in the space available, and in fact what we needed was a 65" ! Who am I to argue!

She Who Casts No Shadow could never cook a meal as complicated as that ! Prepared sausage with a side of pickled cabbage from a jar? Jeez, picked a good 'un there. They deliver pizza in Germany? She is an intelligent woman, but some things just go over her head. Let me give you an example. When we first met (about nine years ago?), she told me she had an HD telly. This was interesting because at that time there were no HD channels in Germany. Germany is way way behind the UK regarding things like this. What she had was an HD 'ready' tv, and she watched normal channels which did not broadcast in HD. She didn't realize that the content had to be broadcast in HD. I still don't think she really understands that concept. We also have a SONOS speaker system throughout the house, and playing anything on that for her can be a very difficult exercise, which usually ends up with comments like, "this SONOS system is sh**!". As for the NAS (Network Attached Storage), that is a totally alien concept as far as she is concerned. Yet, she will claim that she is the technology guru, and I don't have a clue what I'm talking about. After all, she has an iPhone, iPad and an Apple watch which proves she knows what she is talking about, and I know diddly squat ! More: A boiled egg can be left boiling in the pan for at least 30 mins. It makes no difference apparently. The fact it ends up drier than the bottom of a budgie's cage is neither here nor there. It is ok to cook a minute steak for 10 minutes. The fact it is called a 'minute' steak has no bearing on the outcome. It is ok to dice up a large onion to mix with the two eggs to make scrambled egg. The fact that you end up eating a mush that just tastes of onions is 'your problem' ! Oh, and scrambled egg should be burnt. It adds to the taste.....yep, you've guessed it, the taste of burnt onion. I could go on.
