Remember, this news was "broken" by Browner.
There is a Board meeting on Monday so I assume we will find out Tuesday the veracity of this info. I can wait a few more days having personally waited since LAST May.
You appear to be saying you have started this thread because of the recent post by "Browner" From that are we correct in thinking you also knew this information was of good provenance but kept the information to yourself to avoid causing any potential problem with takeover negotiations? I did not start this thread.
The first I heard of this Jordanian connection was from the original message, I had no knowledge of this group although I had concerns that the Consortium I was aware of was taking far too long to complete this and was therefore concerned that NH would make alternative arrangements.
If the Jordanian offer is as good as the Consortium I was aware of than I will have no problem what so ever.
Hopefully the Consortium I am aware of will now get their offer into the public domain. If that happens, the original posting would have achieved something.

Well if there's one good thing about this latest development from JTS it will prove one thing, either: - Monday comes, we get taken over by a multi-billionaire group of Arabs, rivalling Manchester City for wealth and concluding once and for all that both JTS and Gasincider were both spot on all along and, on top of that, do indeed both have legit sourcesOR We don't get taken over by a multi-billionaire group of Arabs, JTS and Gasincider both have sources - the same sources in fact - and that source is an absolute clown and we can put all rumours of any takeover too bed, once and for all At this point in time, I'm leaning slightly towards the latter Surely your misreading the OP's post as they said "Well it would be easy to hide behind the fact that a consortium are announcing via NH on Monday that they will be taking us over and is the one I have been rattling on about. Again this has come via a close contact at the club. However, this consortium is apparently Jordan based and apparently includes the Jordanian prince who is trying to get elected to succeed Sept Blatter Surely the OP is suggesting this is a different consortium than the one they've referred to in the past??? Although it seems a bit odd we've two consortium now willing to invest £30m+ in a Div 2 club, perhaps Sainsbury's owners have called in a couple of favours from friend to helps us out?? The fact the potential new FIFA president is going to invest £m's in a little know Div 2 club seems as far fetched as rumours can get to me! Perhaps "spot on all along" is misleading; what I meant was that if they've both heard about this Jordanian group (and it is proved correct) then we can assume their information regarding the other consortium was also correct - even if the other consortium did get pipped to the post. Edit: And I agree that this rumour - on the face of it/as it stands - is as far-fetched as anything I've heard in my life - Rovers related or not!

If any of this stuff turns out to have any truth in it then we are going to have to invoite Mary Berry to the next game so that she can make a huge humble pie for many fans to eat

I don't doubt the posters integrity, but I now seriously doubt their source and believe that whoever it is is having a (hell of a) laugh at their expense.

Hahahaha. Brilliant. Can we finally shut down this thread and the other long one on Tuesday then? It's been fun, but once the initial wind-ups were done over the first couple of months the whole debacle been clogging up space - both on the front page of the forum and with the mentioning of it in many threads. Top job though. Funniest post this year, give the man a coconut

As far as the Jordanian consortium didn't somebody from their FA start following Fanboy etc on twitter, or was that from another Arab FA?

Well this Ismaik fella is the CEO of a construction company too. Could he be a richer, Arabic version of Higgsy? And the Syrian desert is certainly watertight.

Topper, I've not said any details of the second consortium as I know no details. They may be the bees knees, I JUST DONT KNOW. The consortium I am aware of are the ones who will build the full stadium and invest heavily in the football side, but they must come out now and say so. However, you are correct, this is a different consortium.

Bu All I'm saying is that - logically - if JTS and Gasincider are both saying that their source indicates that we are due to be taken over by Jordanian's on Monday, should it actually happen, it's probably safe to assume that they/their source was also correct about the other consortium too.

Oh dear: "I'm a massive fan of the TSV 1860 Munich and i can just say: Please leave our club, Ismaik! He isn't a Investor who invests in the club to help him out. He is a moody guy who just wants to have a bit of fun with his "toy", but without investing. Everytime he visits Munich (which is once or twice a year) he causes more trouble and confusion. About two months ago he was in the Arena and we won. A day later he promised that he will buy us our own stadium. Last week he gave an interview and talked about different conspiracies against him and that he will not invest any more money in the club. Even though we are about to lose our licens. Please Premier League, take him away from the TSV and let him destroy another club"

Sounds like JTS/GI made up the story or their source led them down the garden path to cover up the truth, if this is the truth anyway!
