Sadly, this isn't necessarily my experience. I often shop at Tesco's Golden Hill. And I've seen some of the current squad in there, and sometimes their behaviour leaves a bit to be desired. Once I was in there and I saw Harrison and Lockyer arguing over how many lemon bon bons they were gonna have in their pick and mix, and that Macca came over and just stuck some licorice in their bag, without asking. I saw Parkes and JC running up and down the toiletries aisle. It looked like they were having a race, or something. And Matty was egging them on. Once, when I went in, Ollie Clarke, Easter, and Manse were sat on the wall outside, larking about, and they shouted 'fatty' and 'big-nose' at some fat, big-nosed lady who was just walking by with her shopping. Back in the day, istr Joe Jacobson used to hold the door open for people trying to get in and out, and Sammy Igoe used to ask people if they needed help packing their bags. So, in my experience, player behaviour has gone down hill, quite a bit. I see you are in a good mood again today

I know the big talking point is the "take over" at the moment but I thought I'd attempt to change the subject until Monday lol In the past a lot of our players have had off the field issues, in particular nights out drinking, Ive been working night clubs for almost 10 years now and have seen many of our players out making drunken fools of themselves (Will Hoskins many times lol) our current squad spend their occasional nights out in my current club pam pam, and I just think it's worth mentioning that they conduct themselves very well, I've got to know some of them personally and it's great to see that so many of them are genuinely nice respectful people, they fill me with confidence that we have a good professional squad and I think that goes a long way on the pitch as well, just thought people might enjoy reading that as I've enjoyed experiencing it. I'm gonna give particular mention to Stu Sinclair, Will Puddy and Ellis Harrison who always take the time to come and have a good chat with me, I'd be interested to hear of other people's off pitch interactions with our players and what people think of them?? I remember driving up pam pams, wrecked (nothing to be proud of) from another bar in town, with our then current manager PT,and one other who shall not be named. I was lucky to get in pam pams VIP at the time as knew the owners and my brother in law was the no 1 bouncer like yourself. I personally enjoyed the company of Kathy Barry,at the time.

Higgsy and Boycie were skateboarding around the main bit of the car park (not round the back where it wouldn't get in the way, like Dunford used to do) so they were annoying a lot of the car drivers. But if anyone beeped them, they've just put the Vs up, and skate off, giggling.

Whatever your view about it being a golden age or something else if someone had said to me in May 2014 Rovers would be in the play-off positions in League 2 in Feb 2016 with a good squad with lots of younger players who will improve and a tactically aware manager who responds to match day situations and with a chance to play the other lot the next season in League 1...... I would have bitten your hand off and then suggested you'de been drinking! UTG!

I bet Chris Lines turns up week in week out with out failure. He's not there nearly as often as others, yeah he has a few drinks and has a good time but more often then not he's the first person to jump in a taxi and go home, I can't say much about his first spell with us but he's been no worse than anybody under DC on his nights out that I've seen
