That's the main point, nobody could be any worse. We were going out of business that is still the worse that can happen. i really cant get this comment. Higgs has stood down today and handed over to a new owner who will finance the move to a new stadium - a deal that Nick Higgs put in place. Without the stadium we would not have attracted the new investor . Yes the guy made mistakes, he may have been shafted by Sainsburys , he may not have been that comfortable in front of the cameras but he has left Bristol Rovers in a far healthier psoition when he stands down than when he took over. No he hasn't. He has left it in the hands of somebody who can get it out of the mess that he took it into and for that I am very grateful. The alternative was oblivion.

Thought he came over very well in his interview, felt it was a slip of the tongue and he meant to say five months. In fact he was involved in brokering the deal to bring the new owners in. As regards his time at Swansea, as he said they were promoted from League Two when he was there, but added he was running his own business in Piccadily at the time and was not easy shuffling between the two. He added he now had no other fulltime commitments and was going to be a putting all his efforts into the task ahead. In summary I personally think we have two great blokes at the helm and am quite sure we won't end up on the rocks.

Seems to be the case as he clearly said just the 5 months on the 20men show but it looks like he introduce the club to the new owners, seems a good bit of work by him as he secured himself a decent job out of it!
Interesting we seemed to have poach Steve Brookfield as FD from his present Coventry City role, that surely must show intent for future appointments?

Good talker and much more comfortable in front of the camera than NH ever was! Seems genuinely keen to take on the challenge. Time will tell whether he prefers watching the team to playing golf on a Saturday!

Thank the Lord NH had not made that 5 month 5 year mistake, he would have been hung for that ! It's ok though, it was the new guy.

I think it is too early to judge. It is easy to criticise Nick Higgs now as he has been exposed during his time here. This new chairman could be great or could be worse than Nick Higgs. It is hard to judge him on today. Opinions should be left for the future.

He's just said Toni has been asked to stay on as CEO! This could be good, the new owner won't have a bleedin clue how much he's losing! Spoken like a true business man Lord Sugar!

Great to here he was in the away end at Fratton Park last weekend and thoroughly enjoyed his self apart from the result! Interesting that none of the in the knows didn't see him there and put two and two together!

Did anyone see him / speak to him I wonder? Definitely interesting that they seem to have been about for a while. Gives me some reassurance that they have looked properly and must have a good idea about what to do with their new play thing

He seemed very comfortable answering all the questions thrown at him, always felt Nick was hiding something as never seemed at ease when questioned. Thinking about my father tonight and all the other Gasheads we have lost sadly, a potentially game changing day for our future. New owner seems grounded and enthusiastic, wants the academy to produce first team players. How far have we come from that dreaded Mansfield day!

I took it that he was saying we've looked at the club's last 5 years, as in financial situation etc?
