It is better if things are self-regulated, as I think this thread has become, where people don't take it seriously, but instead, take the water, in a gentle way. Otherwise, where does it stop? Next will be someone complaining about threads to do with attendances, and how they find them boring, and can the Mods please stop them? You get my drift.

If I deleted posts and threads I don't like we'd all be unhappy. If enough of us make it clear these sorts of threads are making us look terrible then hopefully they will stop. As you have done, those raising issues need to explain how this kind of thing makes us look rather than attacking the poster.

Good point Hug's. There is no rule breaking here. Cringeworthy in my opinion but it will set a precedent if we close threads because we don't agree with them.
It is a Gasheads question/opinion afterall.

How about introducing a rule where in contentious threads a mod makes s "yellow card" post and if it receives, say, 10 likes then it is locked or moved?
Mods won't get accused of heavy handedness and it empowers non mods.

This sort of nonsense will die down in a few weeks, but for now everyone is jumping to conclusions re: the new owners, both negative and positive.
(Yes, I do realise I'm contributing to the nonsense by posting this...)

Mods won't get accused of heavy handedness and it empowers non mods. But who decides what's contentious? Some users may like this sort of thread and I can't help but think we have completely derailed it and given it life at the same time!

lansdown is on the forbes rich list at just under £2 billion but wheres our man? how rich is he? I have got categorical proof that we are richer than them, but I have been asked to keep quiet about my source...... Attachment Deleted

Depends what you mean by richer, weather wise probably, not owing the teds definately But in the cold light of day who gives a fuc k, we will soon be debt free as a club and to me it dont matter if our owners is the richest or poorest man in the world, all that matters is for now we are out of debt, and can try to move forward, yes i still hate the teds with a vengeance but to try to compare owners wealth with that of dog, thats almost as embarrassing as saying a ted will breed outside it's own family in the next thousand years

Lansdown is definitely richer than the Al-Qadi's but he's proved over the years that he doesn't have the footballing knowledge to match the bank balance and that's why they've p*ssed millions down the drain.
Let's hope that our new owners can spend the money more wisely, whether that be 6 or 60 million.
If Wael and his family can secure us a new stadium and improve the academy and the training facilities along with wiping off the current debt then I'd be more than happy.
Wouldn't it be nice for us to be competitive and actually break even for once
