I'd have him back based on what I saw last season. He looked decent.

He is only 23 and has had eleven clubs in six years. What does this say to you. To me there has to be a problem. Would I take him back -- No way. Was'nt that good when he was here anyway. It tells me that you judge a player on wikipedia other than at matches. I would have said no without seeing his record. That just reinforces it. He was a lightweight, a 23 year old boy

LDV was significantly better than Dawson or Gosling

Sounds like Dawson wouldn't have lasted five minutes at The Mariners where he was supposed to be heading. We've got a really fast winger. He can run past any defender. Shame he's got no Dam idea what to do then.

He was a lightweight, a 23 year old boy If he was "lightweight" why did he play in virtually every game during his loan spell? I'd put good money on a bet that he had more "assists" than other player, apart from possibly Taylor, during his loan spell.

We're allowed so many overseas players and I doubt Dawson was good enough to fill a spot. We have now signed Luis Garcia for the rest of the season anyhow. Luis Garcia or Dawson? uh.....

Apparently with Dawson he was the top assists at Nuneaton before he joined us and ldv looked skilled enough but Darrell said he didn't have the attitude to go with it asking why he had to wear the club suit to games.

We will never see a decent winger under DC because he likes players who give 110% and are consistent but also who can do the "defensive" side of the game to allow our full backs to cover all the ground a winger could do on their own! What winger would enjoy playing with Lee Brown who delays passing the ball to them until he can play the little one two or should I say the one trick pony. Wingers need an early ball and the licence to run at a full back rather than spending most of their time defending in a defensive position because your full back has left his post!! DC is great but has yet to prove to me that he is capable of changing the way we play to incorporate even one winger.

Even when we go 4-4-2 it's our full backs that get the crosses in.

Seems a bit unfair to say we must have that type of player before they can be called a decent winger. Yeah, everyone wants the early ball to the barely-in-the-game star winger who's picking his nose on the half way line, who then legs it upfield and lays it on a plate for the striker to put us one-nil up. But then everyone moans when his fullback ghosts in at the far post unmarked, to put us one-nil down.

Tough I know but when he feels a bit overawed by the museums and art available they throw another shrimp on the barbie and it brings him down to earth.

The Plymouth left winger looks just what we need to come on for the last 30 mins when we need a goal or two, problem is we signed Montano who is bit more mobile Balanta, due to limited funds in the summer, rather than a more experienced AD/LDV. Leadbitter plays that type of role from RWB so that surely knocks Steve latest anti DC ramblings on the head?

Topper Gas, Leadbtter in no way can be considered a winger as he is not capable of beating his full back on a consistent basis and never really looks in control of himself or the ball when running at players!! I would describe him almost like a Babi on ice. I am not anti DC,but on our attacking side of our play I just don't think he has got it right. We are now in the final third of the season and I am not convinced he knows his best team and his selection of Liam Lawrence is questionable at the very least! If you think DC is performing beyond criticism then fine, you are entitled to you opinion. I actully think that in the last 4 games his selection and tactics have been very questionable as have been his signings and this does worry me as for me Liam Lawrence has all the signs of being the type of player who he says he would not sign!!

never mind about the 'would you have him back' because it won't happen.... i'd just like to thank the lad for the crucial role he played in our promotion season, his performances were on a par with the rest of the squad, he fitted in well and played some nice football and for that he deserves recognition.... nice one adam
