Although we are only 2 points off the way we are playing we will be lucky scrape the 7th spot but at the end of the day we were in the Conference this time a year ago so although we may miss out a top ten finish would still be one hell of an achievement !!! But we sounded like we outplayed Wycombe for most of the second half and if the refs decisions had gone our way/our defence had stayed awake for 90 mins we could have won and would now be 5th. We also now have 6 consecutive games where we will start as favourites to win, perhaps we need to bring in a player or two to give everybody a lift?

Lawrence lets our midfield down once again. We should be beating tinpot clubs like Wycombe ffs Jesus, yeah while we are at it, why are Accrington up there as they have a small crowd? We have no right to beat anyone. I said that tongue in cheek but I catch your drift.

Darrell is definitely not the man to take us on the journey we hope to make. Right man to get us out of the Conference, but he helped to take us there. Limited vision and has made some costly tactical mistakes. The "mates rates" hiring of the inept and disruptive Lawrence has probably scuppered our season. All Lawrence has done is upset the balance of the side and stroll around moaning at the officials. Shouldn't have been picked today. We didn't need someone like him. Problems go deeper. We have struggled for goals since Clarke arrived and he has never solved our continual problem, a lack of width and penetration down the flanks. We are a very poor side going forward, feel sorry for the defence, they never have a margin for error. Clarke will stay until the end of the season but feels like a dead man walking. Worst 1st post ever! yes a bit daft.

Mid table finish and a lot of changes in the summer. Clarke is not capable of building the club that wael wants to build i'm afraid. Only six or seven of the current squad will be here next year. Can not argue against that. The sooner our Manager accepts all of our midfielders at the club are not good enough for league two the better. Not naming names some of them are too slow, lack any creative skills whatsoever, one runs around a lot but creates nothing, a couple look disinterested and one for sure will never make a league footballer and why he started today is beyond me.

Myself and others who went would completely agree with that assessment. Complete overreaction on here from people who weren't at the ground. Win on Tues and we're more than likely in the play-off spots again.

This is what I feared. We get a bit of money and after one week we want to sack the manager. Didn't take long did it.

We've struggled for goals since cureton and roberts, at a push since lambert and Walker. I long for the days of a prolific strike partnership again

There's plenty of points left to play for but its hard to see were the goals are going to come from to send us up. Lawrence seems to be a terrible signing . Think it might be a bit to soon for us to go up this year .

Taylor and Gaffney have largely dried up of goals, Harrison who is likely to score as a sub has been out on loan and as DC keeps saying, our centre halves have not chipped in with goals all season. So the arrival of Lawrence may be a factor for our poor run, but not the only one. The mystery to me is why with our great away support it seems to have had limited impact.

Right,
Terrible performance today, but WW were also awful and got the lucky goal. We had the best of the chances second half and we should have converted one at least. Pretty much a goal line stop denied Mansell a goal. However it was all a bit hoofball and Gaffney and Easter got little service to speak of.
I really am tired of watching Lawerence already. The lad is passed it and is absolutely worse than what we had already, not to mention he has and is, upsetting the solid balance we had before he arrived. Last week, Lines and Sincs in the middle did just fine in awful conditions. 1st half last week, Lawrence did nothing in the middle and little out wide. This week he did absolutely feck all apart from bawl at others around him.
This isn't a rant about him or making him a scapegoat. He is just generally poor and ive seen all of his games and he has done nothing to add and push us forward. Its clear to everyone but DC that his inclusion is taking us backwards. He has to be dropped for the next game.
I would love to see what he does in training that gets him in the team because it isnt his performances on the pitch.
MMc was awful today as well, lacked match sharpness and if it wasnt for WW awful finishing we would have been 1-0 at half time.
Makes tuesdays game a must win now to keep in touch.

How people criticise Clarke is beyond me. His selection over the last few weeks has been questionable. Nonetheless, he deserves at least a season and a half. Fans have very short memories. 2 weeks ago and he had guided us to the play-offs against the odds!

Because they have got sweet FA service from our midfield and we miss the pace of Harrison. He may not have scored a lot but the side has missed his contribution for sure.

Criticism is fine if fans are unhappy with his selection or tactics as long as it's take in context, but calling for the Managers to be replaced after the season we have had is madness. Just wondering who exactly do these people think is going to replace DC ?
