Whilst I don't want to put a downer on what was a great result (and some great and much needed individual performances), did anyone else think that was the most boring 4-1 win they've ever seen...?

The crowd were flat first half, but I enjoyed that much more than a lot of games I have seen. The ball spent more time on the grass than in the air,Hartlepool kept going and it was end to end second half. No I wasn't bored

I thought we played very well I wouldn't say it was boring. When your teams 3-0 up before half time it really takes the pressure off and that flows through the crowd. If everyone's relaxed then perhaps there isn't that tension and excitement that you get when its a close game ? Id happily take a few more boring 4-1 wins between now and May.

Fantastic result, just what we needed and backs up the point that the lesser teams in this div are really quite poor. We don't seem capable of competing with the big boys but if we keep winning the winnable games we'll be in the play offs.
Away from rovers for a sec - really pleased to see blissett scoring a couple for torquay and winning them the game. I will think favourably on every single player of last season from the key players all the way down to the loanees and the likes of balanta and blissett.I will never forget their attitude and the small part each player played in our promotion. Good luck to him.
Also, uncanny how similar that league is to last season - 2 miles clear at the top (with 1 being a team coming down from l2) and grimsby falling short again in third!

Thought this earlier about the Conference table.

Has that cheered you miserable bastards up? i think it has suggested many things, including the chance that some of the teams down the bottom (of whom we have a lot of games against) are rather crap. I remember looking at the fixtures early doors and thinking that March & April could potentially be a profitable time for a late surge. The problem could be that teams who have failed regularly against the top teams rarely do well in the play-offs. Our record this season is awful, unlike last season.

True, but I fancy that if play offs become more realistic, we will do a bit of squad strengthening along the way.

I know what you're saying but,we drew twice with Plymouth, beat Oxford and were unlucky to lose at home,Accy beat us even when they're pants,Northampton was a tight game. Portsmouth away is the only game we were well beat and didn't compete,so get in the playoffs and you never know.

Wimbledon up soon. They have lost only once in their last 21 league games. Will be a good test of our realistic chance of successive promotions.Wth The Beard out and possibly Gaff too maybe the odd loan or two looming.

Since we are such a free scoring team lately I think it's gonna be 8-0 at least, can't wait! In that case I better check the odds on Matty getting a hat trick Could you pick six lottery numbers for me while you're at it..

This will be tough. After their performance and result on Saturday, coupled with our current form and confidence - I think we're really going to have to dig in to win this one. Well I got that wrong!

dreadful attendance last night when did we last dip that lowbut fair game to the 87 from Hartlepool who made the trip that's loyal fans for you I don't know what you were expecting?! A midweek game against lowly Hartlepool in the cold after our recent performances. Anything over 6500 was a decent attendance to me.
