I believe he was the last, scored 4 at home to Southend and then 3 away at Hereford later in the season. Haven't checked Hoskins though, that's not a bad shout.

Ellington scored back to back hatricks so possibly him 2001/02 the famous Derby game, if you include cup games, Ellington was the last to score two in a season edit: he scored two league hattricks and the cup hattrick Cureton 3 league hattricks before that in 98/99 season
