A draw in that match and a win tonight of us would put us 4th, surely that's better than Pompey winning and them going 4th? Yeah I see your point....I'm finding it really hard to adjust to the current 'can do will do' attitude when I've had 26 years of 'what's the hardest way we can do it' drummed into me....  Ha, ha, and I get accused of being negative sometimes, I sense this might be one of our toughest home games left, a win will really set up a good finish, a draw not a disaster. |

New boy on bench.Few fresh legs in there tonight.Bodin poorly evidently.Sean Rigg playing for them.Bloke who thumped him during a game got sent down.When Rigg returned with Port Vale he scored a cracker.

Not much pace or creativity in that starting lineup in my eyes.
Hopefully will do the business though and have a very attacking bench.

Looks like DC is setting them up to keep the game tight for the first 60 minutes or so and will then change formation and bring on some more attacking players later.

I'm normally annoyingly positive, but I think unless we're still level at the hour, and DC brings on the new lad and maybe Montano, I can see this being reasonably easy for the wombles. Sorry. They have real pace, especially in taylor. If we can't hold him in midfield he'll do us.

I guess that without Bodin DC felt he couldn't go 442 from the start?
I might have been tempted to play Leadbitter as a midfield wide man in a 442 that included Montano too, with Ollie Clark on the bench

Not sure what else DC could have done with the selection? With Bodin ill he had to play 5-3-2 as our fit personnel better suit it.

So to replace BB he's dropped McChrystal & Montano to bring in the off form players Parkes, Clark & Leadbitter, I don't see the logic in that but hope come full-time DC's proven to have got it right.
