...I heard he said this x, no he said y, but I heard k, but Tw said g, but someone said s. The only person I haven't heard anything from re:Sainsbury is the owner. There seems an over-reaction of what if this happens, but so and so said this etc etc.
We have been told the UWE is getting built.

I think until the diggers go in there's going to be much sceptisism and paranoia.
As a long shot, I tweeted Wael asking him to clarify if funding for the stadium was in place or is it's ongoing. He favourited my post but no reply! Ah well, worth a try.

He's probably at meetings with various people looking into it still.

The only thing that's reasonably certain is that if we hadn't been bought out, today's decision may well have been the beginning of the end for rovers. Now it probably isn't.

We have never been categorically told that uwe will be built, the new owners have been very careful with the language they have used regarding this and for good reason, there is obviously an element of doubt, probably small but enough to avoid being caught out. They have said that the club needs a new stadium, which we all know and have for some time. Hearing Watola prattle on makes my doubts increase.

Do you think waqqa has bought the club to remain at ramshackle Mem? Do you think NH would have bailed if there was a chance UWE was nailed on? Would you buy a boat with a hole in the bottom without the ambition to fix it and sail it?

It's all maybes until it comes from the horses mouth,I'm sure he wants to take the club forward he seems keen and been to quite a few games as well

Problem is we've no idea what Wael's bought so far, for all we know he's just rearranged the debts and once he's looked closely at the UWE plans could decide it's a none starter and put the club up for sale/into admin. I appreciate that's pretty unlikely but then again I thought we'd never see TW still around now let alone still in front of the camera's!!

The Al -Quadi family has a reputation to uphold don't they.Would they have brought in top notch people to oversee the stadium project without having checked out all possible scenarios?Investment bankers do exactly what their monicker says ie invest not feck off into the night with the stadium swag.

Guys get a grip. The new owners purchased the club knowing the background and in full knowledge of the facts.
They would never have got involved if this court case was a game changer and whilst it is a set back it is not the disaster it would have been had they not purchased the club. I can only surmise that the result will probably affect the buy out from the previous board as they will have paid a percentage of the agreed price with further payments to be made depending upon other factors- such as the outcome of the court case .
We , the great unwashed , were sceptical particularly after the appeal finished so early with Sainsburys feeling the need to murmur a word . The new owners inherited the legal action and even the legal team and one of the first things they said was that the Sainsburys result would not stop the new stadium taking place. Things haven't changed since then.
Tony was part of he ol;d regime and that is the reason that he was the one making the statement and the fact that he did so quickly and without seeming too emotional about the whole thing suggests an element of preparation.
