Fantastic squad player just needs to add consistency to his game, to push to the next level of starting every week.

In a years time he will be one of our best players. I also think that if we had kept Richards he would have developed in to a good player. Instead Ward was allowed to swap him for an old crock. Elliot was at his happiest with us. As for Ollie, I think he is better than the beard, who goes to ground too often for me, and long term Ollie has much more ahead of him than Lawrence who I would say has one year left in his legs. The player I would keep on is Montano, he has come alive recently and he has experience of playing in Div 1.

Some very harsh opinions of Ollie on this thread, which, interestingly are at odds with the generally good marks he has been receiving on the player ratings since Christmas. He has been a bit below par in the last couple of games, which I believe is clouding the judgement of some, but he's had a big part to play recently and has done well. People always seem to be quick to write him off, just like they are quick to write off Mansell or James Clarke or McChrystal as soon as they make a mistake or have a poor game. They are no nonsense pros who do a good job away from the limelight and would certainly be missed if they were not around.

Surely what happened to Rovers, unfortunate illness aside, proves Ward was correct in deciding he wouldn't make it at this level? To suggest OC is better than Sincs is madness given the latter is almost MotM in every game but OC rarely reaches that level, although OC has age on his side. The interesting one is Harrison as he now seems to have slipped behind McBurnie and must now be struggling to earn a decent contract for next season.

I think DC is a lot more likely to keep hold of OC next year than, say, Mansell or Lawrence. I'm sure I read somewhere that Lawrence has a clause that if we go up he automatically gets another year, so hopefully we'll be seeing him next year. I can hope this isn't true. He doesn't have legs to keep up with the game. In praying we start with Montano on Saturday

In regards to Lawrence he was brought in for the promotion push and THAT was the agreement..... we go up then he stays for 12 months.

To be fair he has shown he can be a good squad player but I don't rate him ahead of montano as player who should be starting Horses for courses with DC. I've got a feeling we'll start with a more solid set up and look to push on later in the game.
