Also on the note of biggest ever crowd. It was a record for our current ground but that's simply because that's the largest capacity the ground has ever been. In the 60's we hit 24k

Ordered my ticket for Stevenage (A) over the phone 4 hours ago. Yet again all my details were taken down (presumably by hand) and the ticket will be posted off again (no problem there). My gripe is that the club already has my details from internet orders on their database - why do I then have to give all of my details yet again over the phone? Surely my name, first line of address and post code should pull up all my details if we were running an efficient database.
With respect to email promotions I have received 4 from NTFC in 12 days. The last one I received from BRFC was 8th April 2014.
2016 - no promotional emails 2015 - no promotional emails 2014 - 13 emails 2013 - 19 emails 2012 - 6 emails
The promotional emails appear to have stopped when our Official Forum was closed down!

Not sure what you expect, you got an explanation what more do you want? At the end to the day Wael and co can't change the whole way the club was run overnight. As far as emails I receive a newsletter every week not sure what the difference is between those and promotional emails but I'm happy I don't get more than one a week or like with Argos etc emails I soon unsubscribe once they hit twice a week!

Must have been the smallest bottle and the best throw in history to have hit their keeper through a goal net. Phil Taylor is a Gashead? Who knew?

Hi Guys, Wanted to send praise to you guys for the come back yesterday, we threw away the 3 points. Couple of good changes from your gaffer. The two sets of fans shared some good banter. I don't see any reason why you won't join us in League One next season. The only sour notes really were the idiots who felt it necessary to pelt our keeper with bottles etc, from where I was sat it looked like our keeper actually took a knock to the jaw.. but thats irrelevant now. Anyway good luck in the rest of the season, and on reflection a point was fair. See you next season. Magnanimous in a draw fair play that's a new one but you'd didn't throw the points away , we took em off you and with less slow play through the match from 1-0 by the cobblers we'd have had the lot wilders no fool, he knew we'd keep coming til the end, second half is our forte good luck in l1 cobbler

I always love the titles of these threads.
Why can't we have one like 'cobblers fan looking for a massive argument' or 'yeovil fan with deformed hand has just learnt to type' or 'stevenage fan seeking a punch up the hooter'?

Also on the note of biggest ever crowd. It was a record for our current ground but that's simply because that's the largest capacity the ground has ever been. In the 60's we hit 24k everyone did though. ;-) Biggest home crowd since 1987 is pretty poor though surely?

There wasn't more than a couple of hundred seats spare, mainly in the new stand. You have to wonder what the point was in building it if they still can't sell out on the biggest game of their season?

To give some perspective I was in the shop a couple of weeks ago buying tickets for, I think, the easter game. Listening to a harassed Claire I did hear here say we'll have to stop selling tickets over the phone as she had to tally up what had been sold in the shop and what had been sold online so that they didn't over sell. Not ideal but even the last board identified they needed to bring in someone with IT skills. Think the shop staff are doing a fantastic job in less than ideal circumstances.

Very impressed with season ticket this year. Have previously waited weeks. This one was literally less than 24 hours! Told me on the phone they were really busy with away and home tickets etc so I may have to wait a few weeks for it - which I had no problem with. It arrived the next morning!

It is frustrating at times but because I'm not on any priority list for Rovers for away matches I tend to go straight to away team and get a ticket in with home crowd. Did this for Yeovil, Plymouth and yesterday for York. Can do pay on the day for Stevenage so that will suit me. For home games I have got a D/R ticket using online for the first time ever. Whenever I have phoned up for tickets, not often this year, have always been dealt with politely, fairly quickly and efficiently. Perhaps I have been lucky but I am always in admiration for people at the sharp end of customer care/tickets because we all want what we want and straight away. Am also a season ticket holder here in Bournemouth and only do that because for years B'mouth were c*** for getting tickets, they made Rovers look super efficient. Seriously!! I became a ST here in B'mouth because I couldn't stand the weekly wait, never knowing which number to call and downright inefficient systems. Their online system was also poor. Is now better but only a bit and only this season. Rovers systems still seem better and our crowds aren't that much smaller than B even with them in Premier.

This was posted on the other Forum by 1986gas. It looks like a source close to the heart of the club. "Another unfair pop at the new board who have been in place for a whole 10 weeks now, regime is certainly a term I wouldn't use to describe the new owners. Firstly there is no marketing or merchandising department and the new board did not inherit one, there is one person responsible for running the social media side of the business which falls under the marketing umbrella, and under the circumstances is doing an excellent job. The chairman has been receiving around 80 emails per day since day one, from lots of organisations offering services on several levels, he is responding accordingly to the enquiries, in some cases organisations and or individuals are being requested to meet with him to present their businesses and initiatives, it is being made clear to anyone concerned in marketing and merchandising that anyone who the club would like to work with will be contacted again in May to start the ball rolling, the chairman is doing the right thing by looking at all the different parties involved prior to making decisions about who the club are going to work with for the longer term future, it makes complete business sense. The chairman has also made the very valuable point that with the current resources at the club everything is being aimed at supporting a promotion push and the added pressures that everyone at the cub is currently under to deal with this on a day to day basis, season tickets sales are looking close to reaching the 5000 mark which is an incredible achievement given where the club was 12 months ago. Its not my place to reveal intricate details but some of the ground works being put in on the marketing front at present is impressive and could possibly be rolled out for other clubs to use. Perhaps show a little patience and business understanding that it isn't a case of walking into a building and setting up a marketing and merchandising department overnight, and maybe believing in what Wael has stated from day one about building the club brick by brick, this applies to off field activities as well as playing staff, a hell of a lot of ground has been covered in just over two months and the way in which the new owners are going about the business of building our club is professional and very refreshing, with a careful considered approach to each aspect of the business and how to improve on a daily basis. If you want to receive the club newsletter visit the website and click on newsletter, its in the header of the main site and the footer of the mobile site, feel free to bump this thread to the top in 6 months time and lets talk about how the club has moved forward in its marketing and merchandising department then!
