To be honest this is a pointless thread - someone posts a list of things that have improved, and all that is said is "well that proves the board were rubbish before". Then the lack of a published report is dragged up - get over it - it is not going to happen. If the board actually published a document describing what they thought had gone wrong it would only be used as a list to beat them with over their past failures.
The points made about the share scheme are valid, and I agree it ended up being a bit of a "rip off". One thing I would say with respect to that was that is you can't entirely blame the board. The terms on which the shares were being bought could have been negotiated better before the money was put in - perhaps partly a mistake on the part of the share scheme organisers.
Sadly that scheme could have continued to put a lot more money into the club if it had been dealt with better. I actually think a scheme where people buy shares in there own name would work a lot better, as it would allow individuals to have a say.
Lets be honest the people electing the fans directors should be the people who put the money into the share scheme and their voting rights should be based on how much they paid in, but that is another story. People paid in but don't have a say in electing fans directors unless they join the supporters club every year ... Many supporters club members who never contributed get to vote ..... lots of that makes little sense.

Unsuccessfully yes, clearly. Not maximising our potential in certain areas. There are some positive changes that have been made since that fall and it would make no sense to ignore some of these new initiatives that have been favourably received by fans. They are good steps forward. No matter how much money us supporters spend on the club it is nowhere near what the bod have spent so I don't personally expect to be told the ins and outs of any given proverbial arse. I personally am pretty sure that their review would have highlighted a lot of things that could be done better and that many of these changes are as a result of those problem areas identified. Totally disagree Ras, following two quick relegations the club promised us a review, the input the fans have made warrants them being told what the review revealed.

The board stated they would publish a review therefore expecting it to happen is reasonable.

Better communication, unless it's about the stadium, would be nice to get some rumours quashed

You don't, we are supporters, not members of the board. Supporters who have poured £1,000,000 into the company that Mr Higgs is Chairman of and are current shareholders...see my questions to BSS...who is a board member paid for and created by us.
But of course you have every right to be a Meercat.
So exactly like a normal company? Football is a tricky one as technically supporters are 'just' customers of a business. However in no other industry do customers want to be so involved with the business. Now, if you are a shareholder then that is something different however don't we have AGM's and shareholder meetings fairly regularly? Regarding your board member comment, I am a customer of Google. Does that give me the right to directly question their board members and choices? If they are asking for questions and feedback then fantastic! However you don't have a right to demand a response outside of the normal AGM/meetings (if you are a shareholder).

Look, you'd have to be a complete nutter not to see there are changes in transfer policy so far this season. How much of that due to lessons learned or down to how DC likes to do things will remain to be seen.
Yes communication may be better and some long awaited new things brought in, so there are some green shoots of change.
I am glad many are so positive.
Personally, while I am no board basher and by and large a tinter, it will take more than (yet another) "we have learned hard lessons" press release to win my full trust.

There have been changes of that there is no doubt, the stadium is tricky regarding info due to contract confidentiality if you don't know that by now you really need help. and The Review has been promised is it not too much to ask for patience - it may not be completed yet, so going on and on about it is futile.
EVERYONE knows this club has A LOT more work to do to turn the failures around, but banding on and on about the same things is getting ridiculous. The Q & A answered/or put opinions on alot of things, now we need to give some space to see those changes/ideas put into practice and we'll have another chance to question NH in around a month.

The board said it has been completed and this was some time ago. I for one am not going to give up until its published as promised despite the pressure from people on gaschat to forget about it.
Keeping the faith and hoping for the best is nice and all that but hasnt worked so far.

There is getting on with it and there is allowing the board to get away with yet another broken promise. There comes a time when their word must be expected to carry weight otherwise we can call them liars and it will be undeniable. We have a chairman who makes calls to people promising to answer questions then ignores and snubs them and also who says it will publish the " top to bottom" review but has no intention of doing so and yet we still have fans who seem happy to let them get away with it Small wonder we are a conference outfit. We really are sheep. Most anyway.

Totally respectfully. Dinsdale and KP
What are you going to do about it if you don't get the Review details soon? Do you have a deadline in mind?
Thanks

There are many more like me. Many stopped before this current crap. You may feel it's ok to break promises. I feel any person is only as good as their word. I see our chairman is not a man of honour at all. I see Rod Wesson ( club secretary) and Dave Harper( safety officer ) are both on notice to leave in September. I guess this is more of the review ? You see, we don't know because they see us as just punters. That is what this does. It shows exactly what they think of us. That is until we get the call to arms. If you think this is ok behaviour then that is your prerogative. I see it as abhorrent and I want no part of it.

I will keep asking and asking and asking, i will attend every q and a / forum and keep the pressure up. I have decided not to put any additional money into the club such as season ticket / ffsc / helpline etc until they release the review. Its not even about me agreeing with the outcome as thats about opinions its about them doing as promised a thorough and transparant review of why we have dropped from league 1 to the conference despite huge financial losses.
I wont stop going alltogether but i need this to move on from my position of mistrust and anger with those running our club and after the q and a i felt in a good place to do that. My attendance and involvement with the club has dropped from share scheme / brsc/ season ticket/ 100% attendance home and away down to none of the above and only going to about 20% of matches. I want to feel i can be a part of it again.

I just cannot be a part of a club that sees me and our fans as punters who do not need to be told the truth. It's bloody awful that they feel it's ok to lie to us. I find it unacceptable and I have other interests that give me pleasure now.
