imagine the players coach to stevenage and ollie clarke has read on gaschat that stevenage have sussed out our weaknesses,,, darrell clarke panics and completely changes all his previous plans and is totally defeated by glenn roeders comments and asks the coach driver to pick the team so as to fool the genius roeder but despite the drivers best efforts stevenage still manage a 0-0 draw v rovers. dc mentally destroyed by roeder,,,jesus you couldnt make up what some people come up with on here?

Given Gosling hasn't started a first team game for months it does sound plausible, as what other logic was there is bringing him back into the side, surely it wasn't on the back of one decent game against FGR reserves??

I think DC does worry too much about the opposition though.
Why worry about Stevenage? They are a team down the bottom for a reason, they are crap!
Just worry about ourselves, go out and play to our strengths, and play on the front foot.
We praise DC when he gets it right, it's only fair that we can criticise when he gets it wrong, and last night he got it completely wrong.
It's probably going to cost us.

Have to say I agree totally with Gastafari he does worry far too much about the opposition BUT lets be honest most of the time he gets it right and we aren't in the position we are in by luck. Whatever the final outcome , which by the way , I still think there are more twists and turns; this has been a brilliant season and we still have three cup finals to go and who knows possibly three more as well.

Well the interview was yesterday morning at the latest so I can't imagine the coach left that early. I'm not saying this is definitely the case but it seems Roeder was playing mind games and they worked regardless. DC made plenty of changes to both formation and personnel. He also adapts the team to the opposition often so it is certainly plausible and not "utter rubbish".

I regret posting this now in view of what happened last evening and DC actually commented on the article. He must have seen it prior to me posting this

Dont think DC if he did read this article needed to adjust to them and react, like others have said he does worry about the oppo and going by last night 3 changes (which were poor ones - just my opinion based on none of them have featured in starting 11 in months). Bit of a mind game and it has worked, we should have set up like we normally and taken the game to them, they are 20th in the league for a reason.
