Well that was painful and felt like a defeat! Plus I am tired now after staying up late in this part of the world to follow.
We all though Plymouth had gone off the rails a couple of weeks ago and then they picked up two fantastic away wins.
On the plus side, there are now four teams going for two promotion places as opposed to the same number fighting for just one a couple of weeks ago.
We might be 5th right now, but you can guarantee that over the last 270 minutes of football we will also spend time in 2nd, 3rd and 4th!

Now Peoples !
Have a look at the table - we ARE in the playoff's FFS !
If you had told me that with 3 games to go, we would be in the playoff places with a chance to get into the top 3 at the start of the season, i would have taken your hand off !!!!
Believe in DC and we will prevail

BTW Think about the gate receipts for a Wembley final Game against Portsmouth... 25% of a 80,000 = loads of money !

In Sydney, Australia had to wake up early for the 4.45am kick off. 0 - 0 very frustrating but if it comes to the play offs and not auto matic then I got Wembley weekend free. Just waiting to go to he airport to get back for the Execeter game. Keep believing.

Really hope Mansell starts on Saturday. I don't think Ollie Clarke is the man for these last few games. In all fairness we need to look at moving him along in the summer as what does he bring to the team? The odd long shot?
I like to look at players and think if we got rid of him how high up the league or how far will they drop and unfortunately for Ollie I cant see him going any higher than the conference. Certainly isn't a player that's going to takes us forward if we do get promoted.

That's harsh as I thought he played quite well against Yeovil, certainly adds more to the team than longs shots. I do agree however that a new cm should be on DC's shopping list in the summer irrespective of the league we are in next year

Bizarre not starting Montano, I respect DC's judgement as he obviously understand more than us but Monty has been in good form lately. I don't mean to question DC'S judgement, but I feel going all out at Carlisle when it was tied at 2-2 was a mistake. But then all the times we got a late winner by being increasingly reckless as the game went on would be a mistake, too.

Well I haven't had chance to read through this thread yet after not getting back until gone midnight so apologies if I'm repeating anything that's been said already.
Now I'm DC's biggest fan and fully trust him in every decision he makes but last night that team selection was just plain wrong, we just weren't at the races, far too defensive and cautious from the start against a team that 9 times out of 10 we should be beating and who in all honesty were going for the draw from the start.
Not sure if Macca was injured but was strange to drop him if not, Bodin has consistently been one of our better players recently and to replace him with Gos who hasn't played for us in so long was just weird, he may have played well enough against FGR recently but that's not enough to warrant a start imo.
Unfortunately MT and Gaffers were well off of their games too, it was a different game once Easter came on, but we were never going to score in all honesty.
On the plus side, Tommy Locks was quality again and saved us on a few occasions and overall the defence was sound. Just very deflated after that performance .
Hopefully time left in the remaining 3 games for everything to change around again because not sure I can cope with play-offs.

There are other uses for a kettle. Ollie Watkins is from Newton Abbot. Go round his house, and hit him with it.

Hartlepool made 5 changes tonight. Apparently manager is looking at players now they are safe. FFS I did tell everybody that a week or two ago. They have lost 2 matches since.

Blimey. Can you imagine at the start of the season guessing what the reaction might be like on here on the day we qualify for the play-offs? Problem is Stevenage were there for the taking tonight and DC starts with with a 5 men defence plus Gosling. We could well be second now if DC just had the b@lls to go for the win from the start. So tonight. He was clueless?

DC doesn't like McM in a 5 men defence hence he went with Parkes but why start with 5 defenders in a game Stevenage were always going to look for a draw, you sense once the Stevenage defenders had MT & RG in their pockets for 60 mins they were alwsy going to struggle. I can't understand why DC just didn't stick to 4-4-2 and take the game to Stevenage from the first whislte? As far as posters saying be happy because we're in the Play Offs, who are they trying to kid when we could be sat here this morning in 2nd place.

Still rkn top 3 is doable only if we win all three though, last night was the game I was worried about the most out the last four Agree about the midfield think we need a couple of good ones who can chip in with goals too, felt well watered off last night but still got hope still think we're go up on Gd If not I don't fancy amour chances in play offs we do set up too defensively against some average teams, let them worry about us

My thoughts haven't changed from those when I got home last night.
Wael, go and get Mike Bassett in - he can take over for the last three games!!! "Darrell Clarke will be playing Four-Four-*******Two!!!
Having said that, the team he played last night could only have been written on a fag packet!
That's all!

Agreed. Make no bones about it, they were sh**e. Like I said that lineup made me nervous. Why on earth was Gosling who hasn't played for months starting? How did Ollie Clarke last 90 minutes when he offered nothing? Where was Montaño? Feels like we wasted a game. Montaño was sh1te on Saturday though, but odd Mansell can't get a start/run out now he's fit and why drop Bodin and start with 5 defenders. Having said that I can't see Accy & Plymuff winning every game left so it's now up to us to win all three, plus Pompey seem to have gone into melt down if we do have to play them in the Play Offs! DC is clearly no idiot. Mansell is arguably our number 1 midfielder so I think we can detect that he is far from being fully fit, otherwise he would have played.

To be fair the service to the front two was so poor they didn't really stand a chance. So many long balls due to the negative set up.
