NEW DEALS: All senior pros to be offered new deals for League One campaign. bristolrovers.co.uk/news/article/n…
Only what we know, but I'd have thought no player would benefit from not signing as will only increase their value given any other club will have to pay a premium to attract them away

News on young players coming through, or lack thereof:
The manager also confirmed that, with one exception, all of last season’s second year scholars have been released.
“A decision was taken some time ago that we would be offering a contract to Alfie Kilgour, but apart from him we will not be offering contracts to any of our other second year scholars.
Who does that include?

If all the first team squad accept these deals there will be little room for new signings, and we will need some. For me we need a new goalie; left back as cover someone to replace Mansell (he's getting old) and another CH, with the exception of Lockyear I don't have a lot of confidence in the others at Div 1 level.

If all the first team squad accept these deals there will be little room for new signings, and we will need some. I dunno. With the new loan rules next season, I think all lower league teams are gonna need bigger squads, just to cover all the bases. With struggling teams it will mean keeping fringe players around, for us, it could mean getting in new first-choices.

I'm sure DC, WAQ and SH have looked at the offers and have set them so that there is wriggle room for new signings. DC is not naive, he will know that the squad needs to be improved. That said, the contract offers will obviously reflect DC's opinion of them, and some may decide that they are better off getting first team football elsewhere. Would love to know the lengths of Brown and Lockyers contracts. Surely they are 2 year minimum?

With struggling teams it will mean keeping fringe players around, for us, it could mean getting in new first-choices. I though so too, but the suggestion is that FL teams will still be able to benefit from short term loans, despite the FIFA ban www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/12162020/Football-League-bypasses-Fifa-emergency-loan-ban.htmlVote is today! I also would not rule out some of our existing squad signing new deals, but going out on loan (long or short) to allow for a freshening up of the squad. It is an interesting reminder to look at how many players are being cleared out by other clubs within the last few days.

Is there a list of players that are released from clubs made public? I know where to find it on Football Manager.... I know you can go on the PFA site and see free agents which these players would obviously become but not sure how regularly it's updates. Just tried to check and the site won't work.

Gaffers, Sincs & Easter also under contract, surprised all the scholars bar Kilgor are being released and you do wonder why so few make the grade, with just Harrison & Clarke making it in recent years plus Lockyer but even he only joined us when he was released by Cardiff at 16.

To be honest how many seem to make it through at any club? Southampton have all these satellite academies but I'd be surprised if one from each academy each season makes it all the way to be honest.

Of all the players that have been released the ones that stand out are:
Reuben Noble-Lazarus - Was one of the most highly rated youngsters in English football when at Barnsley, looks as though his careers fell by the wayside slightly, I think he's still only 20/21 though.
Clint Hill - 37, so getting on a bit, but could be a great signing for a League one club on a 1 year deal
Hal Robson-Kanu - Surprised he's been released by Reading, will probably be leading Wales line at Euro 2016, will probably get another Championship club.
Ismael Miller - Terrorised us while playing for West Brom in FA Cup Quarter Final back in 2008. Still only 29.
James Vaughan - Remember him playing for Everton in The Premier League, still only 27 has had lots of bad injuries.
