When I joined this forum 1 year ago, just to amuse myself I made note that I was number 760 in the pecking order.Rather shocked,to put it mildly, that membership numbers are now at 1717 at time of posting. Not far off a thousand newbies in 12 months, that seems proper mad to me ( even if you take into account the number of kitchen fitting firms we've had to dispense with) Just for comparison,gasheads.org membership has gone from 1571 to 1914. unbelievable Jeff!

That Gasheads.org has more unique users and less content could be something to do with quality over quantity?

They talk a lot more about club politics that's for sure. Nothing wrong with that for the more serious minded.

That Gasheads.org has more unique users and less content could be something to do with quality over quantity? gasheads org takes about two thousand less hits a day and has much less active members if you look at the stato.

He says they have less members who post less but what is posted is much better quality.

So he might prefer it but the majority dont I suppose.

I mean we can debate quality but that is a personal thing. Gasheads.org is my main home, but I like to dip in here.
Sometimes I do find this place too messy. There are good threads, but it seems so many turn into inane banter by certain regular posters and detracts from the threads. I don't mind banter and topics going in different directions, but it seems to happen often and completely off point.
There is a place for both and they serve there purpose

I'm registered on both but rarely use the other. It's often far too negative and people are far too serious.
That said, if they changed the mobile site up a bit so it looked more appealing I'd probably use it more. Theres even some instances of white font on a white background

That Gasheads.org has more unique users and less content could be something to do with quality over quantity? Being on both I could'nt vouch for their being more quality. There is less humour and far more serious / tedious comments. And God help you if you don't go with the herd and think for yourself. As to quantity it's all on the ongoing (!) thread about Jim's jotting.

I signed upto the other forum in blind panic when the official forum shut. I can imagine quiet a few people did too. Thankfully this one opened as the other wasn't much fun

Yep, use both and complain about neither would be my advice.

A charity match between the two would be a good idea ? Football? Darts? Boxing? Drinking? Dancing? Willy waving?
