I think everyone has now accepted that Taylor will not be a gas head next season. I hold no hard feelings towards him, if he decides to leave, and thank him for helping us get back up to league 1.
Just wondered who everyone would like to see us sign to replace his goals. Can't see Gaffney or Harrison taking up the mantle myself, if i'm honest, so would like to see us sign 2 quality strikers.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if DC didn't sign any strikers before the season starts and simply backed his current players in. Assuming McBurnout signs.

I disagree - especially on Gaffney. Not saying we don't need to replace Taylor, but I could see Gaffney hitting form and getting his fair share of goals this season as I've always thought there is more to come from him.

Jay Simpson is reportedly on more than £7500P/W. Doubt we could match that, let alone offering more.

Got a feeling Billy Bodin will hammer a few home.

I think Gaffney has got an important role to play and is the perfect link up man for whoever we bring in but I honestly can't see DC pinning his hopes on Gaffney being our goal machine. Hope he proves me wrong though of course

I was hoping we would take advantage of the FFP rule for new league entrants which means for the first 2 years we can spent a higher proportion of our turnover than the rest of L1.
We have an advantage over all L1 clubs for players wages, but only for this season, then it will level with everyone else next year.
You don't want to get in the position of players and agents taking the water as they did before, but we need more quality in this league whereas L2 is similar to the top end of the conference so wasn't as much of an issue.
Other than that it would be replying on DC to pull some free gems out of his hat, but sometimes you have to pay the price for quality.

Key word there being turnover. What sort of turnout do you reckon we make at the Mem compared to Sheffield United,or Charlton etc. etc.

I thought easter did well towards the end of last season he had a hand in changing games more to come from gaffers and Harrison im sure. problem with matty being first on the teamsheet every match meant the other strikers not getting starts. I think weve allready got some very good strikers and I trust dc to add to it

I'd like to see a non league signing. What about that guy who banged them in for Torquay and saved them last season. What's his name. Missitt or something like that.
