I always find it slightly odd when people talk about signing players like Logan though, as surely there's no crossover of people who were at the club then and now - players, management, and board level. Maybe Macca and one or two of the younger lads, can't remember to that degree of accuracy. But point being nobody of any influence has any particular reason to know anything about him, so unless they read this board it's surely no more likely than any other keeper? I'd love Logan by the way just thought that was interesting to think about.

I think we'll get a keeper from Prem or Champ on loan for the season - but have no idea who. Can't see anymore outfield players coming in (poss a Left back to cover for Brown) as we already have 22/23 in the group. if we're bringing in no more outfield players i fear it's going to be a long hard season ahead I agree with you - I was surprised how many from last season were offered and accepted new contracts.

Agree, I thought Logan was part of the team that came down to League 2 in 2011. (but I might be wrong with my memory) So I guess Lines will know of him but no one else.

May be someone in the Conference that DC has his sights set on? Wouldn't be able to suggest any names, though. Logan would be a great signing. I've always rated James McKeown the Grimsby keeper. Hes played over 200 games for Grimsby and very surprised he hasn't played at a higher level.

Logan has made just over 150 league appearances in the last ten years. Surely got to be better choices out there.

What a load of rubbish look at Bournemouth I'm sure their fans were gutted when they went into the prem with a similar ground

What happened to mikkel andersson in the end? Currently plays for FC Midtjylland in Denmark. He was in goal for them when they played Manchester United in the Europa League last season.

The goalkeeper topic seems to be the only topic that doesn't attract the usual 'Lets trust DC' and 'DC has got us here so whatever he thinks will do for me' comments.

And every other bugger seems to have left Grimsby despite their promotion, so maybe we could nab McKeown?

I have to say I wasn't impressed with Puddy at Exeter. Both their goals should have been saved. Wouldn't like to think of him replacing Mildy. Bad scenario.

Brown,Lockyer,James Clark, broom, lucas,Leads,Sinclair,Ellis,Billy even Taylor and now young James. We also have some quality experience in Line and Easter and have added another two quality cogs in Moore and Hartley.I think we have the core of a squad to push again for another promoton here this season and that's before any other are added.

I hope you are right, but against the better teams last yr we struggled and are well short in midfield in terms of someone controlling the game..we got battlers but if lines isn't 100% we lack the quality Watching is v Oxford last season I looked at lundstrum and wished we had him, always looked composed and read the game and always stretched our defence with his accurate through balls On another day it could've been 6 2 not 1 2

Probably unlikely but I'd like to see Freddie Woodman on loan from Newcastle.
Won't getting games there with potentially Darlow, Krul and Eliot in front of him this season.

I can't understand how anybody who uses the forums regularly can say they are surprised DC offers so many of last season's squad contracts, when it's been well publicised that DC offered all the squad contracts next season as motivation to get the team promoted, having been offered a Div 1 contract what Rovers player is going to turn that down? I can't recall many posters complaining in May it was a bad decision!!

Just noticed that Conrad Logan has been released by Hibs, which surprises me as thought he was doing well there? Maybe he was asking for too much? Made a massive howler in the playoffs, will always be a cult hero up there for his heroics in the Scottish Cup semis and playing in the final. I wasn't surprised to see him go though. As for back here? I don't think he'd currently be an improvement on what we have, he's a bit "big" so to speak and only just back from an injury. I think he'd need a lot of work to get back to where he was.
