I've stood on more picket lines over the years and fought for employees rights and lost more money in wages over the years in doing so than I care to think about or quantify. This is football and not even in the same league as the rights and welfare of workers trying to earn an honest livelihood The word scab is a gross insult. You clearly have no idea or appreciation and you're displaying your complete and utter ignorance. "I'm not racist, I know loads of black people". You crack me up !

I'd rather be reported than a picket line breaking scab. "I'm not racist, I know loads of black people". You crack me up ! It's absolutely disgusting how some people don't show #solidarity with #comrades picketing. If you tolerate B Teams in this competition you simply cannot moan when League 3 happens, when we play these disgusting, muggy little sloths every other week. If you don't stand up now you are a scab, you are culpable and frankly it's your Dam fault.

As someone who was on the SC committee when Ellington HAD to be sold and the when the Sharescheme started and HAD to work, I have to turn up. (If we couldn't afford Rammell et al, we wouldn't be having this discussion now, as we would probably be in the same position as Stockport or Kiddy or even worse if club went into Administration). I find it interesting that the EFL spokesman said it was only a trial AFTER the big prem clubs pulled out. I would guess the negative publicity even before a game has been played has been registered by the EFL and they are now (or should be) looking for a new sponsor for a compeition, only for the bottom two tiers next season. If leagues 1 and 2 voted now, I would be surprised if it was lower than 95% against the proposal. Personally, I don't think the EFL Trophy will have any impact on a B Side league - at the end of the day money talks. If someone like Bury were £5 milion in debt and about to go bust, they are likely to vote for a B side league if they were guaranteed a lot of compensation, whoich coudl keep their club alive. I will still be trying to sale programmes and 50/50's at all games, but can understand if people don't want to watch the Reading game. Maybe the powers that be might take notice if we have 1000 v reading and 7000 v Yeovil? It would be interesting to see how many u-23 years olds play for the acadamies and are English. I don't think this will have any impact on the national team as if they were over 19 and good enough they would be playing for their first team anyway, so I can't see any good reasons for acadamies inclusion and hopefully the EFL wil agree. As per a previous post if the wonderkids get kicked off the pitch, then maybe the acadamies might pull out anyway. Scab.

Surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion and should be allowed to express it in their own way.

So by that reasoning it is ok for me to consider you a scab for not attending and not supporting your team ?

Just don't get why you would want to attend a farce of a competition that only benefits the bigger clubs. Like chewbacca said you are supporting a competition that will eventually lead to the death of lower league football

Like chewbacca said you are supporting a competition that will eventually lead to the death of lower league football I probably won't attend as I rarely go to Mickey Mouse cup games, I just don't like the dictatory and insulting nature of Chewbaccas post. Do I like the idea of b teams, No. But I would not insult any gasheads for supporting their team.

I will not be attending as it's turned a poor competition that personally I don't think is needed anymore into an absolute farce of a cup, to make up the loss of revenue to the club I will endeavour to drink an extra pint or two at each home match and as I go to all home games that will add up to around £60-£70, I'm sure that will more than cover my entry fee that they won't be receiving.
But each to their own and all that.

So are you prepared to meet me and call me a scab face to face, or do you find easier behind a keyboard?

I won't be going, but f**k me, this thread got ridiculous. If someone wants to go and cheer on the team, then that's their decision.
